For me personally, the Super 64 was the best cartridge of all time. I just bought it very recently and spent hours and hours playing with this fantastic cartridge full of multi-games.
You just sold me on this one. I've been looking for a way to capture N64 games without having to switch carts every time! Thanks for sharing NintenDeen!
I got the ED64 Plus, to my knowledge current versions use the same PCBs and only have different colored shells and labels. But yeah, these things are nice. Surprisingly enough you can play NTSC games on PAL systems without notable slowdowns and I yet have to run into any issues with region checks and copy protection. Hell, I can even play Space Station Silicon Valley with an Expansion Pack installed, the game breaks when you try that with a real cart.
Ive been using the ED64 for a couple years now, which I imaged for backup, and it works great. Once you know how to use it - gtg. Btw, lots of luck getting the Everdrive these days.
Great review thanks for sharing ! was thinking of getting a used N64 for i regret trading it back in the days, i am not sure if this cartridge has San Francisco Rush Extreme Racing, that's one of the reason why i am thinking of getting a used N64 as a gift to myself this Christmas.
@@NintenDeen got the guide? cause I was reading someone's experience and they said that rom hacks gave them blackscreens. Does the usamune project work on this cart? Quite scared of purchasing
Ok so I have 3 question, first where did you buy your super 64 cartridge from? And second do all the games run good? Third is there split screen on donkey Kong? Also great video man$
I bought it off AliExpress. Forgot which seller but I just picked any one with lots of purchases/views. The games all run just as good as the original from what I've noticed. I think there is a split screen multiplayer mode in DK64 though I haven't played it in a while. Also thanks for the compliment! Glad you enjoyed.
I already bought this and an n64 bundle, though, I have a question: Do you still have to have an expansion pack for games that need it? Also nice video this is what convinced me to buy it and I’ll try to review it when I get it!
Now that it's been a few years since you made this video, has everything still worked just fine? I've read some have experienced the cart heating up while playing, and some say that they've had issues with the cart not booting up at all for a good while after powering off the console. Have you noticed anything like that at all? Oh, and are you still using the original SD card that comes with the cart?
No issues. Same SD card. I'm not sure how much people play on theirs, so maybe people that do face issues with it put on 100s of hours a month, where I probably put dozens on it a month. But I imagine if their issue is due to excessive use then any other flash cart would face similar problems.
@@NintenDeen Good to know. Thanks. Overall I've heard a lot more positive than negative about this flash cart, but most takes have been only after trying it out for a few moments at best. It's reassuring to hear from someone who has been using theirs for a longer period and can still recommend it.

Hey NintenDeen, really enjoying your Mario Party reviews, it's been fun trying to figure out which one I grew up playing. I reckon it's 6, but looking forward to your review to double check (if you'll be reviewing that one too!). I bought a Super64 after watching your vid, but when I lent it to a friend he reformatted the microsd card and I can't find any backup/zip of the original firmware. Hey, thanks so much for this. If you haven't heard, there's pretty low stock of the Everdrive again... Mostly because of the Ukraine conflict, and the creator being from there and fleeing. People are selling Everdrive x7s for like $300+ on eBay... To be honest, the main thing I really want is just Mario Party 3... But I figure - why spend $20-$30+ on a game that is probably a reproduction anyway, when I can get something like this for double that? I hope to bring this to Asia and show it to my girlfriend and maybe her family. It seems like there shouldn't be region issues with these things though. Really hoping there's no issues with playing or saving etc. I don't mind if I have to reset the console to save though... Now, my challenge is ordering something like this in time before my flight.
