I was born & live in lit'l ole Ocilla Georgia. Tara was my sons teacher. He was in her class the day they realized she was missing... My cousin was in pageants with her & helped her do them after they were out of the pageants themselves. She was heartbroken- the whole town was. They even searched my families property while searching for her. There are hundreds of shallow wells across this county & they searched them all. Years ago on this very day I was walking through the swamp close to my house & found a deputies uniform, with the patches torn off, & 1 sandal type shoe, buried deep in the dry creek bed in a huge mound of dirt. I was told no deputies were available to come pick it up so my uncle, who was in law enforcement in another town, bagged it up & took it to the authorities. I always wondered what became of that & if it had anything to do with her disappearance but I guess not. Never heard back from them about it... My uncle said it was against their policy to throw away uniforms like that. Anyway, Turned out that my son ended up married to Ryans 1st cousin. & was friends with Ryan in school. They couldn't believe he had killed her because he was the sweetest boy. He had drug problems but wasn't a murderer. Or so they thought...
The whole town misses her to this day. And "Tater Day" hasn't been the same since. It used to be a big deal. We even had the infamous character Stefano Demiro, from Days of Our Lives & the Double Mint Twins come ride horses in the Tater Day parades. But it hasn't been the same since Tara disappeared... There are things I'm afraid we'll never know about what really happened to her. Many think Bo played a much bigger hand in it than we'll ever know... It's so sad, she was such a beautiful, down to earth, successful woman, with so much life left to live 😪🙏 May she & her mother rest in peace & be together again in eternity🕊

This case reminds me of a case only recently discovered in my country. A guy lured this woman to his home under the pretense of a delivery request to kill and rob her. He then hid her body in an abandoned cement water tank in his garden. She was missing for 13 years and yet she was right there in the same neighborhood. To kill someone you (probably) know just to rob them and leave their family to suffer in uncertainty for over a decade... Just so evil.

The murderer confessed his crime out of regret after his stepfather accidentally found the victim's skeleton after 13 years. He plans to continue to stay quiet if the body is never found! Ryan had a hand in covering it up but Bo is the type of person that would do it & put it off on somebody else. Bo had family in law enforcement here & is related to very powerful people in this town. Not saying they helped him, but Bo had a much better chance of getting away with it than Ryan did. I truly believe Bo did it. My son was friends with Ryan & tho the boy had problems, he really wasn't the type to harm anyone in anyway- even if he was doped out of his mind. Because these ppl always try to claim theyre drug addicted because they think ppl will then think oh theyre not evil they were just out of their mind on marijuana. But let me tell you, ive done every single drug there is and have known countless drug users and not a single one engaged in murder. Thats not how normal ppl react to any drugs effects. They have to be a psychopath first. In fact, they were more likely to be exposed to violence by vultures around them taking advantage of them. (For instance, a girl i considered my little sister died alone in a shitty hotel room after several years of being used by a pimp that supplied her heroin. She ended up killing herself to get away from him and the drugs he kept her on. She would bring all her money back to him in the morning...he wasnt even on ANYTHING...nothing but his psycopathy. He would beat her with a belt buckle if she was late coming back to him. Another was beaten to death with a brick by the father of her baby. He beat her to death with a brick in her front yard first, then drove his car over her several times forwards and then backing up over her body several times (according to the neighbors who witnessed it).

He says he was crying?? as if his evil brother would let his sappy, crying brother help him burn a womans body, then molest the body in front of him. I bet Ryan was high on drink and drugs, and molested and murdered that woman with him. They BOTH did this. Thats why she disappeared so rapidly, with no witnesses; two people are much more efficient at committing a crime than one person. Less of a struggle, able to subdue victim quicker.

It’s crazy to me how often it’s military or ex military who does this kind of thing.
Obvs not all military people are bad but it’s a pretty common occurrence. I read an article about how the military has been more and more allowing people accused of violent crimes during service to leave the military with an “other than honorable” discharge instead of face trial and conviction. So pretty much getting away with whatever.
There’s something that calls certain types of personalities to military or policing service. Craving power, narcissism, violent streaks, impulse control problems, I’m not sure. And then these types are either broken during boot camp or they feel they’re given carte blanche to hurt or k¡ll others, not to mentioned they’re trained to do so, at least in some general ways.
I probably notice it more bc I lived on a military base for years but it just seems like every other damn video it’s some military or veteran person.
Nbc reported 1/3 military people have been arrested but I think it’s the same for the general population … I do know I’ve read just as many people in the US have a degree that have a criminal record. So idk maybe a lot of people are just fcked up.
And if 1/3 people are arrested, and 3/4 convictions stand, and half of people in jail/prison are there for violent crimes - whatever that math tells us how often people are arrested and convicted and sentenced for violent crimes in gen pop, I’d like to see statistics on how many of those with a violent criminal record are military or veterans. But the military doesn’t like sharing statistics about who they’ve got in the brig and what for.

@@maireadob yes. I know. The transcript of the confession is needed as even the AI closed captions can't figure it out. I appreciate your time and input.😉

"those close to her" said nahh she is not the type to screw around. Uhhhhmmm... you dont even want to know what people do/hiding. Even the most genuine person has it side nobody else sees. Doesnt mean it bad, bad we all have a side that nobody else knows about. so how can you say : " ohhh that person would never do something like that"
Even worse is when people say: " ohh but he was such a nice guy, never thought he could do that " Uhhhmm DUHHHH..

That picture with all of the purple nitrate gloves on the ground haunted me. When I first heard about this case in 2009, I wanted to call and ask if those were the cops or if that was already there... It doesn't look right. Then they catch the dude with gloves, and I heard that news, I felt relieved and sad. Still perplexes me why they waited so long to test those. They could have ruled out the ex and focused on the fingerprint lead. At any rate, glad they caught him and her family got the closure they were hoping for. I don't wish that on anyone.

. . . just terribly sad. The guy who initiated the crime doesn't seem like a mean-spirited person, but substance abuse ruins good judgement in anyone. So, he should remain in prison for a long time if not a lifetime.
