Lol i enjoyed this detective much more then most. "Get used to small rooms" what a refreshing take on this dude just calling everyone on their shit. One of the few detectives that has a real brain and can talk off the cuff so well
The detective was pushing hard on Katrina--threatening her with a potential murder charge--and the woman was apparently so pathetically desperate to support her loser/killer man that she held on for hours, pretending she didn't know what happened. What a weird person she is. Some women are so lonely and insecure that they'll get involved with the worst men on the planet. The guy is washing dishes and basically using any woman foolish enough to associate with him---starting with Katrina---yet she seems to to think that if she hangs on long enough, endures the humiliations long enough, they're going to be a happy couple. Uh, no. Not with that guy. You're better off staying home and reading good books.
I love the detective talking to Arturo's so called girlfriend,he said,"" I'm not saying I don't believe you,but I don't believe you""!!! HAHAHAHA....He is very good at his job,he is smooth,no aggression, knows how to do this so well.
I mean, if he/she is a hunter whose had a good season and needs an extra freezer and spot, we can talk. But if it shows up padlocked, it's getting unlocked and inventoried or it's not coming in!
This interrogator is the best I've EVER seen, telling it like it is, no bs while still reasonable, spewing the facts and sticking to the program, he is excellent!!!
I super enjoyed the detective in this piece. Guy is direct and snarky AF. He's also a sharp cookie. 01:03:02 Katrina says that she can't lift over 10 pounds because of her medical conditions and Mr. Detective was all over that as a reason why the victim was dismembered. I'd love to watch more of his work. Sad story. Thanks for uploading this!
The guys reaction to being told her helped chop a body up tells me all I need to know. Katrina was used and abused by him, she was jailed from her kids and job which, for someone weak minded like her, is torture. She made bullshit up instead of telling the truth because the detective didn't want the truth, he wanted a fable. A fable he got, and in doing so he may have got his guy but he also caught two innocent people up. This is garbage. It's good the murderer was caught, but detective work isn't dragnet. You need to be precise in your actions and he was not, at all. Nor did he do any detective work. He's lazy. He's not smart. He's not funny. He's an ass.
I picked up the trait of making jokes during frighful times from my Irish elders. I know that a lot of others do it as well. My Grandpa would attribute this to the fact that if we didn't, things can be unbearable. I've heard that dark humor is in our DNA. My Grandmother said it relieves tension. All true but its situational and not meant to be done at the expense of others. I think the detective did it to appear more like just a person than someone to fear. And it seemed to work. He reminded me of many of the detectives I've seen in Canadian interoggations.
This detective is a freaking gem😂 I feel for the couple finding her in the freezer but at least they had a good detective to talk to it about and make them feel at ease as much as he could❤
@@mattmatt6572 I'm shure they never thought in a million years they'd find a dead body in a freezer at their house. I do agree there not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

It’s wild how many people don’t realize it. Even when it SAYS IT ON THE RECORDING!! “These calls are recorded” or “this call will be monitored.” Just watched a video about a girl who admitted over jail phone w her bf who was incarcerated how she had helped him k1ll some girl clear as day she blurted it out. And once it’s out you can’t take it back 😂 idiots
its nice to see a detective that shares bits and pieces of information instead of just going "we know more than you think" constantly. he gives statements, he doesnt hide what happened (like finding her in bits and pieces) and just pushes the narrative forward instead of dragging it on and on.
@DrJ-hx7wv not at all. When a story is truthful it varies a small bit because we as humans see things from our perspective. When a story is absolutely identical it means they got their story straight. It's one thing to be similar on main details. However being exact is a red flag.
This detective is a1 10/10. You can tell he has been working on this for months straight and spent countless nights trying to put all the pieces together

Bless her.
"Bless" the two murderers who were too stupid to dispose of the body...WTH were they thinking??? "Don't worry bae, we can open the freezer every year, and reminisce about the murder...?" You lazy idiots couldn't find a couple hours to dispose of the body???
Minimum skill deserves minimum pay? What a horrible thing to say? They work as long hours as almost everybody else, I mean, and should be decently compens😊ated for their hours of decent work!!:(
She’s not being paid minimum wage! Now , they could have been ripping her off with no health insurance but.. his choice of words weren’t great. Yes she deserves correct compensation. Everyone does. But!! That doesn’t mean ANY position is worthy of A LIVING WAGE! Minimum wage was never meant to be a LIVING WAGE! It’s a learning wage. You learn the beginning position then PROOVE you’re worthy of moving up. Very simple, very fair!
I have people who I consider good friends but most certainly would not be helping them to butcher a corpse they had murdered, what was he thinking? just don't get it, nothing to win and everything to lose.
Anyone that thinks that those detectives didn’t 100 percent think Andrew was involved on that first visit hasn’t watched enough of these . They knew they didnt have enough to charge so they went good cop route .
It felt when LE were talking to Katrina that she was holding back, but I’d never think she had so much to do with the coverup of Shannon’s murder. And Andrew helping Aurturo and Katrina coverup the murder also shocked me. To turn up with your lawyer and say you know nothing more and then LE finds out he helped Aurturo and Katrina try to get out of a murder is crazy. How can anyone cut up someone who a friend or boyfriend just killed? That’s is out of my league. Thanks for bringing us this case. I’d never heard of it til now. Love your channel!
At first I thought Katrina just bought the freezer and didnt know anything about what was in it. The other guy showing up to say he burned Shannon's belongings, when he participated in her dismemberment, is just beyond me how he thought he could clear himself by going to police.
This detective has me rolling 🤣🤣🤣 Blowing raspberries after telling her that he was at the house "playing hide & seek with them" 😂 I wish he had his own channel!
he did this for his own ego and not for actually doing his job well. there's many better techniques he could use. we've seen them in other videos. this guy needs to get his anger in check
@rickydavis7986 Right? I came here to say basically the same thing. And some people can be great at what they do without super polished technical chops. He was getting her rattled to maybe turn on Arturo imo.
He cut her off so many times but this is obviously just a selection of clips. I love his style for entertainment but at the same time I'm convinced a seasoned female detective could've gotten her to fold. The case already seemed very strong and I think the detectives confidence in calling bs, not trying to buddy-budy them, laughing and being laid back and sarcastic directly reflected that. Gotta remember it's a small town and he probably can't believe he knocked on the door of an apartment with a dismembered body in the freezer only for them to move it the same day.
@@BikingWIthPanda Get his anger is check what the duck are you talking about man? He had no anger he never yelled unlike other detectives in other videos. As many of these videos that I've watched, I've never seen a detective get so tired/fed up that he's saying "either tell me the truth or ask for an attorney"! This dude is great lol
Most detectives want the perp to confess for the record, but whereas these people already had abuse of a corpse , so they were getting booked regardless I've watched COUNTLESS interrogations and this was the first time I saw a detective say this 😂
I agree. When he said at the very beginning to Arthur, how a killer would not get you involved in destroying the evidence and that there are too many people involved, i was surprised to see I would not have thought of that. And I watch a lot of true crime 😂
@@ozge1dursun Then again the killer got his other buddy involved by trying to store a freezer at his place. He's clearly room temperature in the IQ department.
What really got these people caught was their procrastination, they left literal blood on the walls probably saying every day "I'll clean it tomorrow", "Oh, and I have a body in a freezer, better dump that somewhere soon", but they kept putting it off. They really could have gotten away with it if they weren't so damn lazy. They killed her in February, the cops don't knock on their door until July, they had SO long to clean up their mess, most killers would pray they get that much time to destroy evidence.
The cop said this is about a woman that was banging your boyfriend. She says I just work and take care of my kids. Yet she had them in another woman’s home with blood throughout it and a ax or knife or whatever at the entrance in the wall. And she clearly moved the kids and herself in soon as she got with him. Mother of the year right there. These people are sick. You wanna be a horrible person why drag your kids down with you.
Sadly so many “parents” are awful people and don’t care about their children. And they always seem to have multiples. I was blessed with one amazing father and cursed with one horrific “mother.” I can’t imagine what life I might have had if I had both horrific parents. Bad parents make sad kids who grow up to be bad parents and the cycle continues, sadly. Many break it, many don’t.
@@HeatherHoltwell said Heather. I'm truly sorry though for your so called mother. I'm sure that left a lot of trauma in your life which can create a vicious cycle. We have to break the cycle together.💜 Sending you a big huge mushy mom hug.
@@HeatherHoltYou are right. Often some of the worst ones, decide to have like 6 kids. It is so wrong for these parents who can't take care of 1 child, without being abusive and neglectful, to just keep having more and more. Wtf are they thinking? They'll do better the more they have? SMH.
That detective has me rolling🤣🤣🤣...(suspect)"Blah,blah,I don't know, blah" (Detective)" Yeah so I'm still talking bout that body in the freezer" (Suspect)"I need phone call. Blah,I just rent, blah" (Detective)" what about that body in the freezer though?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Like wgen he said, "we're getting off the path here... there is a dead body in the freezer".. I mean, i dont want to laugh, but this detective was the best
Suspect: you're trying to catch me up using her foodstamp card Detective: well thats baby shit compared to that BODY IN YOUR FREEZER!! So yea tell me about that body in your freezer
They're such easy reads in terms of criminals. You can tell exactly how each of these two planned to approach the police interrogations. The guy's strategy was to be annoyed and try to be more fixated on his job than the crime, and the detective stripped that strategy away instantly by confronting him for being more interested in work than the body in his freezer. The girl's strategy was to be outraged and a offended, and the detective stripped it away by refusing to entertain her innocence for even a second. Both immediately shift to improvising so early on in their interrogations, so they both ended up giving the prosecution the advantage of a long interrogation tape with a wide range of attempts at false behavior. Amazing interrogation, amazing video
These crime documentaries are so much better than EWU and similar channels- no unnecessary interjections by the narrator for cliche foreshadowing, and no re-hashing old information to drag out the story for a longer video. Very well done
@@ew7512"The next shocking revelation in the case will shake you to your core. What you will find out shortly left detectives utterly speechless as they investigated this heinous crime"
It was fascinating to watch those three stay completely committed to their idiotic lies and screwups, all the way to Katrina blowing her deal in the most clueless way imaginable. Thanks so much for your terrific presentation. Your work is very clear and well put together. I’m happy to subscribe. 👍🏻
So, let's talk situations you are not responsible for but are pulled into. Andrew who by all known facts had not participated in the killing. He's called over to a house by this friend only to discover his friend murdered his ex-girlfriend. And then rather than coming up with a plan to remove himself from the situation and call the cops, he decides to participate in a demonic, gruesome act because he thought he might be next. He could have told his friend the killer that he had a better plan for disposing of her and got out of the situation. But sure, I wasn't there because I don't hang out with lowlife people like this. Choose your friends and acquaintances wisely.
I guess he never heard the old saying, "You are judged by the company you keep". They say that for a reason, lol. If you hang out with criminals or murdering losers, not only does your reputation suffer, but you pick up their values; pretty soon you find yourself doing things that ten years prior, you wouldn't have even dreamed of doing.
At first i thinking Katrina was innocent! Then it just didn't make sense why she wanted to purchase the freezer. And then the surprise ending that Andrew helped cut up & dispose of the body! All 3 of them are monsters!

She didn’t give a crap about anything but her man. I hope and pray the kids are in a safe space and getting the counseling they need and deserve.
Not just that but she swore on the life of her kids that she had no part in any of it. What a scumbag.

Lol i enjoyed this detective much more then most. "Get used to small rooms" what a refreshing take on this dude just calling everyone on their shit. One of the few detectives that has a real brain and can talk off the cuff so well
Yeah 😂😂
I cracked up when he said, get used to small rooms. 😂
Wow Katrina looks like a Lizard person and she darts her tongue out like one. It's freaking me out. And her fake whiney voice. Just wow. 😮
A lot of the other ones aren't dumb, it's just a little reckless to be so funny/snarky
I like how the detective didn't even try to sympathize with them, he just didn't gaf
I love the detective talking to Arturo's so called girlfriend,he said,"" I'm not saying I don't believe you,but I don't believe you""!!! HAHAHAHA....He is very good at his job,he is smooth,no aggression, knows how to do this so well.

Sad story. Thanks for uploading this!
i already thought that before i knew this.
I know! Let’s get some more interrogation vids with this detective!
I'm sure he'd allow you to lick his boots... 😉
Just imagine what that thing exposed those innocent children to
The guys reaction to being told her helped chop a body up tells me all I need to know.
One of the few times I've been impressed with the detective while watching interrogations. This guy is a pro without a doubt.
“Get used to small rooms.” - “You’re not getting back on your feet.” - epic 💥.
The amount this detective is making himself laugh during both interrogations warms my heart
Sick
I picked up the trait of making jokes during frighful times from my Irish elders. I know that a lot of others do it as well. My Grandpa would attribute this to the fact that if we didn't, things can be unbearable. I've heard that dark humor is in our DNA. My Grandmother said it relieves tension. All true but its situational and not meant to be done at the expense of others. I think the detective did it to appear more like just a person than someone to fear. And it seemed to work. He reminded me of many of the detectives I've seen in Canadian interoggations.

@DrJ-hx7wv not at all. When a story is truthful it varies a small bit because we as humans see things from our perspective. When a story is absolutely identical it means they got their story straight. It's one thing to be similar on main details. However being exact is a red flag.

A+ to this detective man. Really liked his style.
he did this for his own ego and not for actually doing his job well. there's many better techniques he could use. we've seen them in other videos. this guy needs to get his anger in check
@rickydavis7986 Right? I came here to say basically the same thing. And some people can
be great at what they do without super polished technical chops.

The way that Katrina lied in this situation is how I'd expect myself to lie in police custody. Badly. 😂

Best and funnest detective I ever seen. Rockstar! ;) "This isn't about your Outback dishwasher job anymore dude"
This detective is hilarious, says everything you wanna say 😂
