Very nice! That's awesome! Ya've gotchya an "International Pro-Star" sleeper on several of the 379 model Petes, love the "A&W Rootbeer" truck, where didchya git the green Peterbilt "parking lot'' at, "how bout the drop deck & backhoe"? I have the tri-axle belly dump & the yellow "Loves" tanker + many others! Keep on truckin!
I first saw these trucks at TOYS R US about ten years ago, and that got me started. Then four years later I started ordering on line for a much bigger selection. 3000 Toys .com has been my major supplier by far followed by Extreme Toy Trucks.com.then E-bay, truck stops and truck shows!
@13JChappy They are all New Ray dry van trailers, the old style, with the ridges on top. That reefer came from a Monogram dry van kit,(Birdseye). I used that one reefer for all the pictures! New Ray sold the cattle trailers. . They may pop up every now and then on e-bay.
Things I thought of while watching this video: What made him decide to build the 87th truck after having 86? So many trucks, no room or time for a wife. Just what I always wanted...a Chinet truck! I am sure selling just one would put a major dent in his collection. SELL ONE TO ME!!!! What? They are the smaller scale. That explains everything. Nice trucks.
Good job man ... those Petes look like Newrays. I have mine slammed, stretched, drop visor, texas style bumpers, WTI fenders, C.B antenas from guitar strings, chopped intakes.... total show trucks. I use some Jada parts but thats matching 1/32 with 1/25.... pain. Theres a guy online who sells custom diecast parts too. I got some badass Dynaflex 8" Dynaflex stacks from him
My idea was not to have the unit functioning off the low-boy, but rather to have the assembled unit transported to a another facility to be placed on a waiting truck frame. Oh well, thanks for both parts of your comment !
Are there kits for sale to do this? or do you do all this custom? i just did a set of stacks for my sons 379 Peterbilt Wrecker and i have 2 other rigs i want to do for him like this
Thanks for your comment however, that's not a diorama set. It's a layout l made myself out of large pieces of cardboard, spray paint, artificial moss and artificial eucyliptus twigs.Hope I spelled that right !
Sorry folks for the lengthy response time. Been disconnected ever since January ! Of course been building during that time ! PART 3... mid SEPT. PART 3...mid SEPT C-ya !
Looking for a wife on E-bay, I own a Chinet truck, I don"t like major or minor dents period !....and l don't have the patience to work on any truck smaller than a 1/32 scale ! Now that explains everything ! ! ! P.S. Thanks for the happy ending. Lol.
@peffer76 These are not kits! They are New Ray Products. With these trucks practically already assembled I have the time and patience to alter them. When you mess up on a project you autmatically have spare parts to do something else!!
i used a trailer, like the one at 4:19 and 4:20, cut wheel wells for the tires. Then i used the chassis end of a van trailer, turned it up right, and joined it with the front chassis end that has trailer pin.
That's a New-ray Peterbilt 379 truck and van trailer that l simply painted and got the brand name from a bag of oranges at the market ! Order the truck from Extreme custom toy trucks !
Because l'm not that heavy into detail. Check out all the other guys and see how many air lines (not planes) and light cords that you see ! Finally, 46,990 people didn't even care ! Not to be discouraged. Peace!
Sorry if you thought I was trying to discourage you on your model building. Wasn't my intent. But let me pop your ego...yeah, you've now got 47,000+ views, BUT only 77 thumbs up and 4 down? Maybe all the others who viewed your models felt the same way that I did....didn't leave a thumbs up or down. Got a couple of trucks/trailers that I hope to use in a zombie diorama. And by the way, I'm a truck driver for 13 years and still driving. THE hardest one to build will be the car hauler as there's a shit load of hydraulic lines, etc. that needed to be added. Your's the 2nd one I seen built, the 1st being in a modeling magazine and the guy tricked it out with everything. And I'm like you....I build for myself and if you don't like it, I don't care.
I like the trucks, especially the paint schemes, I like the diorama set too, looks like the desert. I wish I had room for so many trucks!
What a really nice collection of Trucks and a great video.....

I use thin dress shoe shoe strings. If they're already black I'll spray a little silver on them to make 'em look like used load straps !
Feel free to turn volume down at anytime. Lol and thanks man !

@Knightryder2387 About a hundred and eighteen!
Sorry, but why is it that NONE of your trucks have airlines or a light cord attached to the trailers?
Because l'm not that heavy into detail. Check out all the other guys and see how many air lines (not planes) and light cords that you see ! Finally, 46,990 people didn't even care ! Not to be discouraged. Peace!
