I have been watching your older videos trying to catch up and I must say, this video has topped them all so far! The work on that scratch built trailer is absolutely fantastic!!!!! Thank You for sharing with Us here. I really appreciate the valuable information on the kits out here as I have just started into the trucks lately, I usually build cars or military. Again, Thank You and I look forward to more building with You.
Excellent coverage, it's almost like I had the kit right on MY bench, the way you presented it. I am looking forward to watching your other videos......very, very nicely done!
I just found your channel. Great content. It is nice to watch someone that's knows about the subject that they are working on. I have been building the Amy class 8 commercial trucks and trailers since the 70s. Love the subject so much that I had to own the real one for a time. Also I am very interested in the after market stuff you show cased in a earlier video. Anyway I am enjoying your content. Keep on modeling.
Your trailer is super, hope you Git'erdone sometime. Sure be sumthin' to bump 'er up to 1/16. Have a sheet of reflective tape somewhere too - got it at Spaulding like 2002? Not seen it in years...
Moebius kits are great - well detailed, nicely molded and easy to assemble. On this kit, I only question the absence of spoked wheels, the working wheels associated with trailers like this one. Chrome wheels are nice but other than West Coast rigs you don't see that many on the highways.
Thats a nice kit Its nice to see you know the parts like on the real unit Cant wait to see the kit built I used to do alot of truck kits but cant anymore hands and eyes are shakey Old age i guess LOL
The amount I spend on 3D printed upgrades I've just went and bought a 3D printer to do it myself! I need them alot with the armour model's correcting things and adding extra details
I've had this kit for sometime and haven't built it yet. Yes, when they were first released, they sold out fast. Now, as of October 2022, they are easily available. The actual prototype is not a Great Dane Freedom flatbed model. It is more of an East "Best" model flatbed. It is not based on any particular prototype, but it does use previously tooled Moebius trailer parts. at least this is what I heard from Moebius Models. The kit ratchet pulleys are trash. Replace them with Czech Truck models funuctional ratchet pulleys, which come with orange or yellow simulated straps. The trailers hubs are actually drive axles from the Moebius tractors. Replace them with an after market traiiler hub set. Yes Moluminum offers these. I purchase the final stock of Line o tape reflective tape years ago. In fact he gave me a bunch for free because he wanted to get rid of his unsold stock. I have the HO and 1/25th scale tapes Many injector holes on the underside of the deck. A lot of work to clean these up. The air bag suspension height looks accurate on this flatbed model. The height of these parts loos too high on the van trailers. I'm going to see if the Moluminum air bag parts make the van suspension high look more accurate. You should do a video on you scratch built trailer. It would be interesting.
@@lotso69 Hi. Sorry I meant the gladhands I found some but not as nice as yours. I am going to pair that trailer with the revell kw 900 the new release. I am going to cut the frame and add an inch to it.
hello my name is william iam going to bulid the moeblus model of the 48foot trailer what size ibeams you used for the crossesmembers thank you from william
In today's trucking no one ever nails a tarp to the the mostly use bungee cords. Why ruin a a tarp with nail holes. The wood strips is to nail the freight inplace when needed

Hi, if you mean the trailer kit, you can get them off EBay, Wes' Model Corner, Tower Hobbies, Hobbylinc, etc.
