      It cost a ton of money to make for a western at the time. Well over twice as much as the much better and successful Unforgiven. Entertaining at times, but not a great flick.
      Interesting thought how it had established stars like Hackman and Sharon stone and up and comers DiCaprio and Crowe who became mega stars.

She rescues a man who was going to be executed the same way her father was slated to die, only to find out later that that man used to ride with the man she's here to get revenge against, a revenge plan that later would have failed if not for the man she rescued.

    1:54 What is it called those guys with the rifle? I always see that type of characters in a wild West movie.
    They always look badass and deadly despite not being seen a lot

    Some actors would worry about being typecast playing similar roles in two westerns so close to one another. Not Gene Hackman.

    • @foto21
      @foto21 5 месяцев назад

      I can't believe Hackman worried about much in film. Not sure where the energy came from, but it was in every performance I ever saw. There must be some clunker Hackman films, but I don't know which ones they are.
