Nice touch, nicely done. Good explanation. It’s about the release to pressure as the reward.

Love your videos and training dummies for shed hunting. I’ve learned a lot from your RUclips channel. We live in CT which is difficult to shed hunt, but we’ve done alright. Thanks for all of the info my lab and I appreciate it.

Hey! i love your videos. im starting this today with my dog and going to follow your steps all the way....but one question is at the end of day 19 theres no more videos...whats next when you get them outside and start retrieving? what do you do next? do you have other videos that show her outside working on the retrieve ? thank you!!

Please stress that dogs should never be left unattended when tethered at height. Ive heard of dogs hanging themselves. Excellent training method, I've used it successfully.

Is hold conditioning necessary for all dogs? My 10month pup holds on his own and ive never done anything....?

Not necessarily... I would recommend a listening to a podcast we recently did that covered this topic. It would be Episode 234 of our "DogBone Pawdcast". You can listen to it on any podcast app, or watch the video version on our RUclips page here: ruclips.net/video/PjMHInHTg5w/видео.html

When do you typically start hold conditioning? I’ve followed all of the Bella be good series and my female is 11 months now. She has a slight issue of coming to me and dropping the bumper at my feet before I can get my hand under her chin to keep her holding. When I use the deer bone antler she holds it forever but the bumper she doesn’t. Is it too early to start hold conditioning with her?

My female lab is 11 months and I just started hold conditioning. So I believe you’re good to go.

What command do you use for fetch? Say she runs out there and won’t pick the bumper up how does hold conditioning fix this?

In my experience, retrievers retrieve…without the need for a command (particular one connected to force).

Is 11 months too early to start?

Yer umm, my dog loves being up high he jumps on the table, and though he is no good at it, he loves to train hold conditioning.
