I do remember playing a little bit of this game with a family member. One of the things that sticks out to me the most was Green Lantern's sphere brutality. I knew Quan Chi was supposed to be DLC, but didn't know those other characters were planned as well!
Yeah Green Lantern’s brutality where he squishes you into a ball is one of the cool ones! I’m surprised Quan Chi wasn’t part of the roster to begin with, considering he’s in a lot of the story mode. Thanks for watching Mike!
The game lacked spectacle effects and some of the voice acting was rough. But the stages were good and the story was honestly exceptional. There was a great sense of care for both universes.
I remember hearing my cousin telling me about this game when it was announced and I thought he was lying for the longest time… until I saw the trailer. I really didn’t know what to think at the time. Thought this game is kinda frowned upon, this game at least revived the series and helped bring us Mortal Kombat 9. Also, I love your work, Don! You’ve got an amazing editing style and flow. Keep it up!

I honestly enjoyed this crossover between the DC universe and the Mortal Kombat universe. I think that this was an interesting story, and it continued to be referenced in some later Mortal Kombat games and the DC injustice games.
The one thing I give this game credit too. Is that it’s the only fighting game that created cinematic cutscenes, and brought the birth of Injustice Gods Among Us.
ok...that doesn't sound very cool but if you like it, I won't knock ya. Though Injustice was way too much of a cash grab, so it would be nice if we could hold these developers to a higher standard. if you call Injustice a game only 30% done, then it would be much better

People may be too harsh on this game but they really did put in a whole lot of effort and care into it. Plus you gotta remember this is MK vs DC, I dont think you were supposed to take it all that serious like it was gunna be a long running series or something
This game is canon in the injustice verse, fun fact every MK character that has appeared in Injustice where the same ones that appeared in MK vs DC so there's an entire MK universe aside from the reboot from the reboot now 💀

In my option, this was the game that saved Mortal Kombat. Midway was on its way being shut down and working with WB getting the Dc licence must have helped WB buy some of the rights/properties like rampage and Mortal Kombat. Plus, this game has a Killer version of Sonya Blade!

But without new series or risks I feel it’d start getting stale and the developers will lose steam. They need to make a sequel. They learn their mistakes the first time. Sadly Kevin Conroy is no longer with us. I'll miss his voice a lot but still I would love to have a sequel. Maybe have Ra's al Ghul team up with Shinnok or A Super Deadly Alliance. Quan Chi,Shinnok, Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn teamed up with Ra's al Ghul, Vandal Savage,Zod and Deathstroke. I know I could use stronger DC villains but I am trying to think if Villains that would team up and not backstab each other. Ra's being the Mastermind and Vandal also being super smart. Zod for his strength and military expertise,Deathstroke with enough firepower and skill to kill or take on anyone.
I remember sleeping on this game cause I thought it wasn't a true MK without blood and gruesome fatalities. Still prefer traditional MK games, but I was glad this one actually turned out to be pretty fun

The game itself may have been mediocre at best, but it was a cornerstone for how the Story Mode and fighting mechanics would be perfected in the reboot trilogy.

I know this game has a bad reputation, and proably rightly so, but it was the game that first introduced me to Mortal Kombat, so i'll always have a soft spot for it. Without this game we may have never gotten Injustice and I wouldn't have ever played Mortal Kombat 9 (my all time favorite fighting game).
This game gets a lot of hate and not enough praise. Sure, the violence was toned down for obvious reasons. However if it wasn't for this game we wouldn't have the Groundbreaking game changing story modes of today I remember when this game first came out. I wanted to play It so bad. When I first saw the trailer Still a great game
The konquest mode in armageddon is so much fun there have been a few times I've played damn near the entire mode from beginning to end cause I got so wrapped up in it
The interaction between the characters learning the history and seeing how everything plays out to me is just so intriguing then to see netherrealm studio pick up at the end of armageddon to reboot the entire series was mind blowing at the time
Not enough extra features in this game to justify getting it full price at the time. You just got towers, story mode, and practice if you were playing online. Which was a real bore as a kid.
Since Mortal Kombat’s roster has only seven characters, I think Johnny Cage would be a perfect fit to join the melee and he would have a blast messing with the DC heroes and villains!
They really do got to at least have a different DC character for every MK. Joker is cool and a safe bet but it’d be cool to see someone else like Batman,

I played this quite a bit when it came out but it felt kind of lame for a MK. Luckily the series took an excellent turn with 9 so it's easy to appreciate the different direction of 8.
I popped this in a while ago and...it was just not fun to play anymore. So stiff and clunky Crazy how this was basically an Injustice beta. Like others said, a modern day version of this would be insane
MK vs DC was a good, but the crossover between MK & DCU was kinda sketchy tho... From Fatalities, to the Big Bad, Darth Khan (stupid name by the way)! Overall, MK vs. DC was pretty badass.

I never bought this one. Always played it with my friends. Raiden was my least favorite in this one. I favored the spam happy style of Deathstroke and The Joker. 🤪 I did play the story mode in Afghanistan, and while original, it lacked good voice acting to really drive it home for me.

My first MK and PS3 game that I both got for Xmas. This was not the kind of game I was expecting lmaoo because I wanted the violence. I fell in love with Mortal Kombat after seeing Armageddon, that my cousin owned and played on his PS2.
when i was younger i had a great appreciation for this game ( which i still do ) but i can honestly admit how bad it is in retrospect. i don’t think any of us truly needed this in our lives. the budget for this game seemed cheap and it definitely showed. with test your might being included during a match but no separate game modes. smh crazy. mk9 definitely redeemed the series after this no doubt.

Actually about Joker’s fatality, it shows the character getting shot if it’s an mk character, but if it’s a dc character, the camera pans away.
This game gave birth to Injustice, no doubt.

when i was younger i had a great appreciation for this game ( which i still do ) but i can honestly admit how bad it is in retrospect. i don’t think any of us truly needed this in our lives. the budget for this game seemed cheap and it definitely showed. with test your might being included during a match but no separate game modes. smh crazy. mk9 definitely redeemed the series after this no doubt.
