Great video.. have 3973487X chevy heads with screwin studs and 1.6 rocker arms. My cam is NX276HR. (0.502/0.520). Can I upgrade to NX288HR?(0.520/5.40) with my 1.6 rockers an a 383 stroker.. What is the max lift for these heads..?
I like Fuelly heads. Have a pair now I'm going to put on a mild 350 motor I'm building for a street car. I think I paid too much for them. They are off of a 68 Camaro motor. They already have 2.02, 1.60 valves and are in great shape with low miles. I paid $100 for them. In your opinion what are they worth?
when old man bell did my heads he did a lot too them started with 202 angle plug heads ported the whole head made 204 then ported water and oil ports intake and exhaust ports ported the intake to match he wanted cast on cast for the engine because it was a pump gas engine for the streets but we wanted to be fast the fastest for 3 years . we started with rick news dragster engine then built the shit out of it . old man bell said there is nothing more he could do to the engine even my friend that is a pro nascar driver said it was one crazy engine for the streets
407-5302-35 is the tap part number and 401-2102-35 is the plug part number. We don't drill the holes bigger in the head. Lots of tapping fluid and just let the tap do its thing, BUT do not run the tap all the way in. It will make the hole to big. We use red loctite on the plugs. The tops should snap off when they are tight. then when you're done take a clean up cut on the deck to make sur everything is nice and flat.
You Gentleman know more about these heads then the people at GM who designed them👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
congrats on 1k subscribers

What do you do to unshroud the Intake valve when going from 1.94 to the 2.02 intake valve?
They probably CNC cut the chamber around the intake valve, usually about .120" will do it, the. Blend it into the chamber, it can be done by hand,
