Hi, I am from Costa Rica and I am thinking about starting a business engraving guns down here, would you mind giving me a couple of tips on how to start doing this?
It's a 30 or 50w ? Do you buy the stippling patterns software or you make them.I would do like to do my gun but I have no idea no ones helps 🤷 looks great ! Thanks!
There are a few people who specifically make artworks for firearms and you might be able to find some of them in this facebook group: facebook.com/groups/4105345129538639/

Does it get out of focus on the curved surfaces? Im thinking because the middle of the front strap is closer to the laser than the sides of it or is it that its not that far off and wont affect it cause the end product looks good.

Never remove the camera from the actual laser engraving when doing a tutorial video. Nerds like me only fast forward when your face is in frame and your having casual conversation that’s not in regards to the actual instructions. Thanks
I had to draw the pattern myself - having said that, you can do it yourself and then you will understand how to engrave patterns on almost ANYTHING. So, I "could" give it to you but does that help you in the long run in developing your skills? can you do a video on your prep/sanding of the frame ?
How did you make the pattern all black to do the prep passes then click it off to engrave the pattern?

Bob, I did get your email but I just haven’t responded yet. It’s been a crazy Black Friday weekend. Although I’m not complaining!
Can you do logo's on the slide and mill the slide?
Yes we can add logos to the slide. I’m not sure what you mean by milling, but we can engrave deep like manufacturers.
what happens if you use a diode 10w laser?
I’m not sure, I have zero experience with a diode laser.
How did you set it to engrave nothing? The “sanding” stage.
Just use the outline of the graphic and it will "fill" the outline when you engrave.

How you prepare the frame?
Remove the grip and frame pattern with a rotary tool.

I have no desire to do this for others but I am a nerd who likes guns I am considering buying a laser to do my own stuff.
What’s your laser specs. ?
Would a jig or fixture help keep the frame in an indexed position? You would have repeatable accuracy and less setup time.

Legos work well
When you go to get LASIK done and they forget to double check the focal length. Lol
That's my biggest fear of having that surgery! Hence... the glasses... LOL
