Nice production quality! Sad to see those trees go but I am sure it was for the best. Now you don't have to worry about them coming down on the house 🏠. Sad to see the kids move out, but your adventures will continue!
@toddspianoservice2374 thanks for watching! We appreciate your kind comments. Yes, it is sad that our old trees had to go but things are definitely safer now at the Old House. Adventures will certainly continue so feel free to come back and visit anytime!
I am a huge tree fan it must have been so sad to see them cut down but what a nice idea with the carving. It blows my mind when you showed the photos from the house from back then what a beautiful little history you have here. Can’t wait to see the new porch and the carving. 🩶
@IzziesSimpleLife it was a difficult and bittersweet decision to make for sure. Those trees have seen a lot of generations come and go, and they were very much a part of our eternal memories of this property. We probably held on to them a bit longer than we should have, though, given that the house was almost hit when the first one fell. Safety over sentimental value made the choice in the end. Yes, we love our family history here, with the house now being 161 years old and we have so many photos of the property and family through the years. It's a real blessing to have what we do. Thanks for stopping by again and leaving us a message, Izzie! Always good to hear from you!
Sad to see the trees gone but probably the right decision. Always hate to see a tree gone. 😢
@jlw44 yes, we were sad to have to make that decision, but it was likely the wisest. Things sure look and feel different around here, though.

So interesting… can’t wait to see the chainsaw carving! 💜✝️
@janeaikins3148 thanks! We'll be sure to share it whenever it's done next year. Thanks for watching and commenting.
