how to remove melted crayons from clothes:
fill a sink with hot water (i did a combo of the hottest water from the faucet AND a teapot full of boiled water)
add baking soda (i can't tell you exactly how much, but don't be shy)
add white vinegar (i can't tell you exactly how much, but don't be shy)
submerge clothes into this water and leave for at least a half hour
then drain the water and SCRUB the spots - i used a toothbrush to SCRUB
if it doesn't come off with just a scrub, pour some DAWN detergent on the area and then scrub
then i washed the pants in the washing machine on cold and it was a SUCCESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
my 9 favorite pair of pants were SAVED using the above ^^^ method!!
good luck, my fellow crayola friends : )

Thank you for watching :)
Thank you so much for showing us this video!! We just pulled clothes out of the dryer with melted crayon!🥰
The very hot water at the beginning makes it so the stain comes out easier. The baking soda and vinegar lift the dye and I think the oil a bit. Soaking the garments in the water cause the crayon to loosen up a bit as well. Then scrubbing it does the final job of removing it.
Washed and dried my son's clothes with mine, didn't know he had crayons in his pocket, my griffindor t-shirt that I got at Universal got all stained with red and blue😭 I hope this works!!🤞🤞🤞
Hey, how was it.
This saved a whole load of school uniforms! Thank you! ❤❤❤
I’m currently watching this video after crying and having a melt down. This is the second time this has happened. The first time my husband was so mad he threw out all the clothes. And it happens again today! I didn’t want him to know so I panicked and rushed to RUclips. This literally re-assured me. Also a tip for anybody who wants to know how to get crayon off of the inside of your dryer, the magic eraser works very well! I recommend doing a test run with other loads before you do your whites.
good luck!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@gabbybendel So I was able to get most of them out! I only used the hot water and dish soap, but it did the trick. Just a few things I had to throw out, but they were things that my son was growing out of and no one would miss. Thank you so much again for posting this video❤️ I know more people will appreciate it like I did.
Car seat I used WD40, first I left the car under the sun with all windows closed then once the crayon was kind of melted . I scraped the area with a butter knife removing the remaining excess. After I sprayed WD40 on the affected area, I removed all the melted crayon scrapping with a knife but you can use a spoon as it is not that sharp. Once I was done it ,with a clean cloth I started removing the remaining excess. The WD40 melts down all the wax. Don’t be afraid to soak it a bit. Once you removed completely the stain you can use a car fabric cleaning product. Spray on the area scrubbing with a soft dish wash sponge, after rinse with a cloth always cleaning in the water. Use a bucket to rinse your cloth. No stain will stay behind once the seat completely dry 👍🏽! I hope this will help anyone that is struggling to clean the carpet or the car seat like I was before 🙏🏽.
This helped so much! From all the videos and tips that I found online to fix my clothes, this one is the most effective solution. THANK YOU!!!

I just had an entire load of laundry of kids clothes run through the washer and dryer to find one of the kids left crayons in something. I didn't watch this video first. I know WD-40 will remove crayon as well other solvents such as turpentine, paint thinner, naphtha, etc. but I was worried about leaving oil stains. I did do a google search and came up with add dish detergent and vinegar to the wash load. I tried dish soap and vinegar on a few spots and it did not work. I went to Home Depot to see what solvents they had and what would be most suitable for clothing. I looked at goo gone and goof off and bought a small bottle of each. I was disappointed with both. I tried to think what will dissolve wax and all I could think as was stripping wax off floors. I bought a gallon of ZEP floor stripper for $10 and a spray bottle $3. I sprayed each spot individually (undiluted) and scrubbed quickly with a nail brush. The crayon disappeared. I did each article of clothing one by one and added it to the washer (about 30 items, yeah imagine that). I finished up with adding oxy clean to the load (optional) and ran it through a heavy duty cycle high heat wash, dirty soil level, presoak and extra rise. It did a great job on everything. I did find a few items that I missed spots on and re-did them. I would do this again without trying anything else, it saved hundreds dollars of clothing. I wish I would have made a video of it to post. Maybe next time, lol.
wow! you did a lot! hopefully, it doesn’t happen again, but if it does, you know what to do!
Stepson had an orange one. Now im trying to get it out.
Dude, orange got a bunch of new clothes and my bedding too.. (I imagine mine was a little more malicious though, as some clown at a laundromat did it intentionally while I was gone for a bit. I should have been more skeptical of the cup with the one orange crayon that was sitting on the washer I was using, that was missing when I got back from my car..)
Washed & dried a load of my kids’ clothes and their wrestling uniforms….my kindergartener had a BLACK crayon in her pocket apparently. It’s on EVERYTHING & all over the dryer 😭 I’m doomed!!!
you’re not doomed!! try this!
I just mess up my white clothe with crayons green and orange I’m gonna try to save them but indeed it’s a lot of work 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩
good luck!! 🤞🏽 let me know how it works out!
Vinegar and soda together do nothing
I tried it three times and it didn’t work😾
😊
Too much work.
