The sun's type is type O. Type O suns/stars do supernova. They expand into a red giant, explode, and the only "sun" remaining would be a white dwarf. After trillions and quadrillions of years, white dwarves transform into black dwarves, which are tiny, baby black holes. Your first example is wrong.
