as a student studying for the mcat rn seeing gray call a bacteriophage a 'crispy frog' creature made my day ;-;
Aw
same
As someone applying to several Master of Public Health programs, it made my day too! XD
What a way to be reminded of switching out of premed because of organic chemistry lol
Same! Makes a great study breaj
You can always count on Gray when it comes to games with outer space in them.
the way he said "cockus?" really puts me into a fit of laughter!
Gray is the ultimate bugfinder and you cannot tell me otherwise.
The developers of the Tasty Planet series have seen Gray play as a shark, an octopus, & more. And they have said, "Damm, that guy is still hungry. What can we feed him now?"

A black hole of that starting size would immediately radiate all of its mass as Hawking Radiation, and disappear in a tiny subatomic explosion.
so it would basically do nothing that affects us.
nerd
🤓
@@superJK92 no it would be bigger than big boy explosion
About to say that
I was not expecting this game to get super philosophical at the end there. I was just enjoying the mindless repetition for a while.
As a person who loses their keys every day, I can only imagine how frustrated a black hole must be when it swallows reality
A black hole the length of a centimeter has the same mass as earth. A fun fact.

A million Pastafarians cried out in anguish when gray slurped the noodly monster.

Blessed was the broth.
I mean, not really, considering he'd long ago eaten the entire Milky Way galaxy where all the Pastafarians dwelled. 😅
The Spaghetti God has no limits

Someone needs to tell Gray to play Donut County. If he loves swallowing stuff as a sentient black hole, he’ll *absolutely love* swallowing stuff as a remote-controlled sinkhole.
He would like it
That and Katamari Damacy. Then again he probably already plays games like that on his off time.
@@TheRealAlpha2 I feel like Gray has to know about Katamari Damacy already. I think he can only record on his PC, not on a console so that is probably why we've never seen it.
yes.
"Do you know who ate all the donuts?"
4:32 Black holes are already essentially doing that by just existing. They are so dense that they sort of invert spacetime, flipping places with time and space.
I am a student and a master at these molecular pieces and Gray calling the Euglene a "molecular pickle" just made my day 10x better
Euglena or euglene? I dont know the difference
2:18 Gray, you're actually not wrong. It is in fact pronounced "peek-o-meters."
Really? I think it is personal preference and depends on where ur from. I say pick
I thought it was “pick-to-me-ters”
I approve of this message. I took enough Engineering classes to understand the metric system beyond the average person. It is pronounced peek-o-meter. It is spelled picometer because of the prefix.
Wait untill grey finds out there's measurements called snap, crackle and pop
Pico meter?

Slight innacuracy gray, at 16:10, you said young star, Red Dwarf stars are actually quite the bit older than most other stars, in most cases the bigger the star the younger it is and the less time it exists before going into a supernova. :D
Edit: the red giants (not to be confused with red dwarf stars) are stars on their deathbeds right before a supernova.

0:53 this black hole would just anticlimactically dissipate instantly. Nothing fancy.
Well when that happens it would explode and take out everyone within a mile
@@dypfulcjvjv no it doesn't explode it's not a star collapsing in on it's the corpse of a star that would basically fade away similar to how a star the size of our sun would shed its outer layers when it begins to die there is no big violent explosion when the black hole fades away that's it
@@cringehunter3812 well this is technically only theoretic is generally agreed that if a black were to spread and dissipate it would release an enormous amount of energy and explode
@@dypfulcjvjv what it doesn't become bigger and spread apart that's not how something dissipating works it's like slowly pulling apart a a cotton ball it just gets progressively smaller until there's basically nothing left
@@cringehunter3812 well that might be how some normal objects work it's not how black holes work they get denser and denser and denser and eventually they hit a critical point where they're so small and so dense that the energy has nowhere else to go and explodes outwards there's actually another video specifically about that on this channel
Literally my favourite RUclipsr.
A block hole is actually a quantum singularity with a size of zero. It appears larger than that because the black hole that you see, is actually just the point at which matter closing in on the singularity is moving so fast that light can't escape the gravity. It's not part of the black hole. The black hole itself is actually infinitely small.
9:04 a little sus there 👀👀
I knew someone would say it
Now, I am completely unqualified to really answer this, but in my opinion, (4:55) I would expect bacteriophages to be somewhat bitter, considering they are mainly protein coats w/ phosphorus and nitrogen containing genetic material.
it's actually an interesting question! here, the three possible options are sour, salty, or bitter, since phages don't contain glucose or glutamate. I'd go with bitter too, but idk what I'm talking about. hopefully someone else will chime in and solve this captivating mystery XD

The evaporation rate of black holes is inversely proportional to their size, so tiny black holes evaporate instantly

I love how you went from the size of a quark to LITERALLY EATING PEOPLE
For anyone wanting a recipe for hard candy cuz why not: 1 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup corn syrup a drop or 2 of food coloring 1/2 teaspoon flavoring ( if desired)
Notes: DO NOT MIX the sugar mixture AT ALL if you mix it there is a high chance of crystallization. Cool thoroughly before eating. if you do not have a thermometer you can do the cold water test it is when you drip a bit of the hot sugar mixture into cold water search for a chart for it if you wanna use this method.
Step 1: Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper if you are using moulds skip this step.
Step 2: add sugar water and corn syrup to a medium sauce pan
Step 3: stick in a candy/oil thermometer or you can stick in a meat thermometer every few seconds turn stove onto medium high heat
Step 4: once sugar mixture reaches about 260-265F add food coloring if using. Do not mix the bubbling will mix it in for you.
Step 5: cook the sugar mixture on medium high heat until it reaches exactly 300F immediately remove from heat and if using flavoring add to the sugar mixture DO NOT MIX the bubbling will mix it in for you.
Step 6: pour the sugar mixture onto prepared baking sheet or into the moulds
Step 7: cool and enjoy! Please pin, gray so everyone can see my recipe that may or may not create a blackhole
This is most unique comment I’ve ever seen on this channel I wonder why you wrote it here rather then a channel that is is candy related?🤔

It's once the black hole is stable where you should start to worry.

It was fun watching you eat the fabric of reality gray😂
So to answer your question as to what would happen with a black hole that small, from how I understand it with my limited knowledge:
It simply would flicker out of existence so quickly you probably wouldn't notice it in the first place, because black holes convert the matter inside them into radiation, and at that size the amount of matter is so small that the matter it was composed of would be transformed completely into radiation near instantly.
Supposedly the Hydron Collider creates black holes like that when it's active occasionally, and they aren't a problem because they could never absorb matter faster then it would be destroyed.
Watching this as a physicist is very entertaining
1:50, no they're real units, they're metric, their magnitudes go from 1000 of 1 unit to 1 of the next, e.g. 1000 meters is 1km but 1 meter is 1000mm, metric is MUCH easier to use than imperial when doing math, if just yapping to 1 another then imperial is fine
