I remember someone made a post once asking what people would have done if they were in Mistyfoot situation (the one where she's asked to come back, with the offer of being the new deputy) , and I and several others were just "Uuuuh...heck no?! She has shown how much respect and trust that potition offers, she's only offering it to make herself feel better, and, oh yeah, the only reason she needs it filled is because my brother, the previous holder of the potition, was sentenced to death by her order/silence. What a fun reminder that'll! be every day I walk around as the cat in charge of this potition".
I’m so late to this but I fully agree this is imo the best finale book to the first arc. Other people do have personal opinions on that. However that book felt like it was fully thought through, and on the mother mouth I believe it is explained in one of the novellas about the old clans or moth flight’s se

What if it’s called mother mouth cause it leads to the mountains where they used to live as the tribe and therefor is their origin or Mother

Generally, I believe its mainly because the first half has little weight, Sol is divisive, and Hollyleaf (honestly for a mirad of separate reasons)
