The sun here in NM eats my 3D target faster than my arrows do! I've tried using the rubberized Flex paint to paint it and then repainted it with deer colors with some good results.

Hi, Love your videos! I noticed that your bow quiver has a lot of arrows on it. I'm after a bow quiver that can hold 8 arrows + but cant find any. Any suggestions?

I would go route of using Cardboard As I know where to get some massive quantities I can replace as needed and a cheap tarp cut then taped together from Menards or Walmart for my main target using Duramesh pictures for my target face adding old worn out but not fully used up face targets on backside and replacing cardboard as needed.

That sounds like it will work great too.

Have you any experience with a usmc tap chest rig in a bowhinter or rifle shotgun hunt. Pouches etc?

Yes on the horse stall mat, I believe Jason got them at TSC. He has a video on building it.

Jason, I have a large Delta target with a really replaceable insert instead of buying another insert I bought a crossbow discharge bag. It’s about 12 x 14“. I took a handsaw and cut an extra half inch out of the replacement area on the Delta target inserted that discharge bag in there, use spray foam on the rounded edges to even it out. Has been in there five years just now shooting about 6 inches to 8 inches deep with a 64 pound recurve.

I've built one of those back stops and it's one of the BEST $$$ investments I've made!!!!! I bought my horse stall matte like the one you have at Tractor Supply for $52 and bought another $35 in wood with deck screws for a total of $95 invested. I just got into Trad shooting this winter so missing the 24x24 target was common. I live in town and can get out to 30yrds but always felt uncomfortable in case of missing with either trad bow or compound. My trad bow is shooting through my small target now but it just doesn't penetrate the horse mat. I took your suggestion to leave about 2/3 to 3/4 of the mat loose and not nailed or screwed into the frame and arrows just can't get through the mat. I got out the compound for Sh&%s and giggles the other day and with a 72lb compound shooting a 550gr arrow at 281fps with broadhead it penetrated the horse mats but stopped arrow after about 4in. I would use the mat as a target but as a backstop its priceless!!!! I have since added a handle on one side of the mat frame and wheel from Harbor Freight for $10 with some hardware allowing me to move backstop around yard to not kill grass. Also was advised to spray it down good with Amour All twice a yr to get mat to last even longer. Another great video!!!!!

Works best if you do not anchor the bottom of the mat, allowing it to give a little. Got my mat from Tractor Supply. Works great.

agree. let it swing a little when it gets hit to absorb the impact. Got mine from TC as well.
