If you haven’t pulled an arrow out it yet, you’ll be unpleasantly surprised. It takes 2 men and a small boy to do that😂 It’s better than having an arrow go where you didn’t want it to go.
You should have used washer when you screwed in the mat. And in cali that would cost waaaaaaay more that $75 to build 😂😂 the mat itself is like $70 out here.
Up and down is better. You usually off on distance if you dint use a range finder. I’ve had my mat hanging bout last 15 yrs. Take a film canister poke a hole in top the size of the arrow. Then put wd40 or some form of lubricant because if you shooting high poundage high kinetic energy then the arrows are a b!tch to get out. Just my two cents of years of archery
@@vfonte218 I figured it out It’s horse stall mats looks like it would work pretty good Hay bails sometimes loose arrows but of course I’m supposed to be hitting the target 🤣
It’s a thick rubber Matt typically called a stall mat(for horse stalls in stables) I’ve also seen them sold on Amazon in the past but my local tractor supply has them in a couple different sizes.
You really smashed it with that backstop. It looks real good 👍
Looks like a good backstop for archery practice. Save a lot of arrows. GOD BLESS Y'ALL .
Great job on the back stop. It looks really good. And it does look heavy!
thanks I'm going to make one tomorrow just the way you and ur son did thanks so much
We use foam blocks from pipeline pressure testing for a backstop works well
👍
The back stop looks good
Thank you. Much appreciated.
I've been happy with my archery backstop from Amazon. It's just a white nylon curtain you hang. The downside is it's only rated for recurves.
used carpet and or underlay is free
to make it wider and thicker

I made one like that a few years ago. The rubber melts when hit and gets all over the arrow. Hard to pull out too.
Arrow lube works really well for that i had the same problem at some of the 3D shoots

I wouldn’t care how you put it together the frame and all that I’m trying to figure out what this stall may material is
It's rubber recycled
