Happy to hear it! I love it, been using it full time since it’s release. Alway feel free to requests videos. Not just Luna. If I know, I’ll make something on it.
Prefer Ampex ATR-102 summing over Neve. More focused sound. But maybe it's all content dependent. Nice to have both for that reason. Nevertheless Neve sounds sick. Must have. Don't have the API summing, but I really like what it did on drums in this video. Felt like it subtly expanded the dynamic range and added touch of sparkle.
Can’t disagree with any of this. All tools and up to you to determine how best to use them. Love doing these deeper dives when people request them cause it’s great for us all to know the tools more deeply.
Hi guys. Nice video. Love it. I'm new using Luna. Recently I imported a session of 40 tracks in wave format. But my session in WAV format is jumping within bars when played in LUNA. What do you think it may be? Thank you
Your mic for the camera sounds great. What is the set up and processing for it? I usually only hear this kind of audio when a mic is present in the shot
Just getting started with LUNA. I see you only have the summing on your mains and busses. LUNA seems to default by putting them on all tracks. Which should I be doing? on every track in the sessions? Just on the mains and busses? any risk of overloading the saturation effect by having these on multiple tracks within the session. Thank you for your videos.
You mention that the API Summing is more subtle than the Neve Summing however I find the opposite to be true. API Summing seems to impart a more aggressive quality to the sound. Also, summing isn't saturation?
I find it more of punch where Neve is more of a heavy saturation. But these descriptions are all subjective language and we could interpret the same thing with different words. I don’t know what’s under the hood but I suspect it’s more than just saturation but that’s certainly involved. The Neve creates more of a width to sound that makes me believe there is more happening.
So glad I found your channel. Your Luna stuff is awesome, great work!

@@MusicByDarcy Nice! BTW Do you have a premium community (ie discord etc)?
@@Woyano no, still growing the community as it is.

Do you need an Apollo for the neve extension?

Maybe that will need to be a video. Aston Origin through API vision console and LA-2A. Camera is Sony ZV10

Best answer is to use your ears for what music you are making.
