    Microbes, necrotic cells or tissue injury could trigger the release of certain soluble factors, from inflammatory cells, endothelial cells or from plasma. These soluble factors, called mediators of inflammation, initiate and amplify the inflammatory response and determine the consequent clinical and pathologic manifestations.

    It´s interesting how many mediators take part of inflammation. So the magnitude of the mediators might tell us, how important are the process in order to get the goal, destroy the stimulus.
    For me Histamine, is the one that orchestrates all the changes that comes below, and then, everything is conected.

    Does the mast cell typically die after degranulation?

    • @HackDentistry
      @HackDentistry  2 года назад +1

      Good question. No they don't. In fact after degranulation, mast cells resynthesize the mediators and repopulate granules. Here's an article you could read with regards to your question -> Mast Cell: A Multi-Functional Master Cell - www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4701915/
