Jonathan Martin exactly my problem with you English. When Andy Murray or Gareth Bale are playing well and winning things, their described as great British athletes. But whenever an English athlete or artist or band or comedian etc... starts being successful and praised, they're always described as English. Only want to play the British card when it's beneficial to you
For anyone needing to learn for school recital... Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Venom, Motorhead, Def Leppard, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Beatles, The Smiths, The Cure, The Damned, The Jam, The Police, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, Jarvis Cocker, David Bowie, Queen, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Supertramp, Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy
I agree with this... for instance, whenever I listen to something old like Status Quo or Bob Seger, everyone always looks completely baffled when I tell them how old those tracks are. The most common reply then is: Why do you listen to this old shit ? Answer ? Because it's just better than most of the crap in the charts out there.
absolutly, some songs you can hear for years and NOT get puking bored and revolted of, they stay... aluring, despite their "age", people tend to forget that they were young once, or that others were. they also tend to forget that there were, are and always will be GRAND SPIRITS out there that have to SHOUT their aliveness of the roofs and into the masses, people who FEEL and CARE about where we are, and where we're going, who we are and what we've become. People who ask :what type of music are you into?" are often short-sighted and think in terms of "rockers", "ravers" and "soul brothers", but tend to forget that any type of music can have alure to it, it has something put in there to draw you closer and want to experiance it. ....sorry for the long "rant":P, but I dispise the way people often/sometimes (?) are TOO short-sighted.
Oh my god I was watching the video and I was hearing notification noises, so I pause the video and listen... OK nothing, it happens again, then I realize I haven't used MSN for the last 4 years and I the video was doing it and I had to take a moment in silence to think about how stupid I am.
Meanwhile rock bands like the Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, and in fact most of the artists mentioned by Steve in this video have been performing consistently for years, and have enjoyed enormous success without prostituting themselves.
I remember watching X factor videos on RUclips and people actually admitted voting for Jedward based on the fact that they made them laugh, not for their musical talent. It seems that the music industry is all about giggles and jokes than actual talent.
it's a shame that when he was listing the great british groups he didn't spot kerry katona in the audience and add atomic kitten. Their importance cannot be overstated.
Wolves in the Throne Room are amazing. I saw him at the festival he mentions in this show, Bloodstock. "It's been great performing here... not one shit haircut anywhere."
I want to look up so many bands so i know what i have missed i wrote down all the names on a list (except for one name i can't understand) For everyone else who wants to do the same: Black sabbath Judas priest Iron Maiden Venom Motorhead Def Leppard Deep purple Led zeppelin Rolling Stones The Who The Beatles The Smiths The Cure The Damned The jam The police Sex Pistols The Clash Kate bush Jarvis cocker David bowie Queen Pink Floyd Radiohead Supertramp Chemical Brothers The Prodigy :)
Okay here's the list without any mistakes (i think) Black sabbath Judas priest Iron Maiden Venom Motorhead Death leopard Deep purple Led zeppelin Rolling Stones The Who The Beatles The Smiths The Cure The Damned The jam The police Sex Pistols The Clash Peter Gabriel Kate bush Jarvis cocker David bowie Queen Pink Floyd Radiohead Supertramp Chemical Brothers The Prodigy
+0liverwarren jup thanks, i realised to late. It's also Supertramp not Superchamp lol. I think now it should be right. I wish there were more bands from different countrys but i'm happy i got this list to start :P
Get Steve Hughes on Strictly! btw let me round up great British pop names to to continue his list and school metalheads there is good pop music out there... Shirley Bassey, Petula Clark, Cilla Black, Sandie Shaw, Bryan Johnson, Matt Monro, Tom Jones, Dusty Springfield, Mary Hopkin, Elton John, Billy Ocean, Phil Collins, Paul Young, Kim Wilde, Rick Astley, Annie Lennox, Alison Moyet, George Michael, Seal, Simply Red, Robbie Williams, Dido, some good current British artists include Dua Lipa, CHVRCHES + George Ezra. Adele was good when she started but then she recycled her same songs over and over and got overhyped. About X Factor... First few series were good but then it got over polished and melodramatic, still given us decent acts such as Leona Lewis, Ruth Lorenzo, Alexandra Burke, Lucie Jones, Olly Murs, Rebecca Ferguson + Little Mix. I seem to like the solo material from all One Direction members more since their split too, apparently they wanted to perform some Rock tunes but record label disagreed.
She openly admits that she only goes on the TV shows to pay off her massive debts. And to think, 'celebrities' usually go on game shows to raise money for charity...
Hits the nail right on the head...The show should be called "The Karaoke Factory." Churning out bland, plastic, talent less shit. I CANNOT STAND THE FECKIN SHOW.
@ihatelynnmoses they WISH their careers lasted a tenth as long as some of those bands, some of those bands have been going damn near 50 years and the X Factor wannabies struggle to have a year of success
That is one hell of résumé of artists of Great Britain.
Not Great Britain.......ENGLAND
And he missed a few as well
No mate from England

She has a simple mind. ''SO TRUE IM NOT ON THE X FACTOR SO IM WITH YOU THERE''
D'aww I can't watch it, the account's banned...
America you're too far gone :D :D :D
That shameful moment when you're from the same town as her. She grew up round the corner from me... the shame.
In your face XFactor
She openly admits that she only goes on the TV shows to pay off her massive debts. And to think, 'celebrities' usually go on game shows to raise money for charity...
Is that an audience laugh track or what? It sounds so "Play & Pause" Someone explain please?:O
I've never seen someone have difficulty clapping before 1:26
Tom Lamb both hands didn't work at the same time lol
lol wolves in the throne room
Wtf is Katona clapping at 1:34 she's part of this effin problem!
@MUSE !!!!!
Title was misleading lol
And I'm a bit slow.
I'm 100% certain that he has some sort of dysfunction with his arm.
1:26 has to be the strangest applause i've ever seen.
@@srd911 He.
They're American - he was giving a breakdown of top English bands...
The guy ripping this needs to stop using MSN. What year is it for gods sake?!
Hits the nail right on the head...The show should be called "The Karaoke Factory." Churning out bland, plastic, talent less shit. I CANNOT STAND THE FECKIN SHOW.
How the fuck did he forget CREAM?!
Cream is always fresh in my eyes.
@ihatelynnmoses they WISH their careers lasted a tenth as long as some of those bands, some of those bands have been going damn near 50 years and the X Factor wannabies struggle to have a year of success
he forgot mark knopfler , direstraits ,
Was thinkin the same thing!
I think he'd made his point. Their slots have time limits.
This gentleman at 1:35 needs to take some clapping night-classes, because he really needs to improve his technique.
HE DIDNT MENTION OASIS!
That's coz those wankers didn't have an original sound - they were trying too hard to be the beatles.
Kerry Katona is bad?
Atomic Kitten were good, though...
Hysteria98 if you have poor taste...
9gag borught me here.
...and Cradle of Filth.
Who the fuck still uses msn?
