Cirice won a Grammy for Best Metal Song 2016. This was not a good version, very compressed for the tv show. The LP version is surely 2 minutes longer. But good that you can see through that. My vote for next song is Kaisarion, Spillways or Watcher In The Sky.
fyi: Metallica playing this song for warm up before a show ! i´ve seen them several times live now, and once opening for Metallica last World Tour in Cologne ! they are truely a live band ! you have to see them live
Thank you so much for doing this review! Ghost is my favorite band along with Nightwish! You might want to check out their new album Impera. Griftwood is amazing and honestly all of their music. They are such a fun band, I’m going to see them in Green Bay in September and I can’t wait!
I don't think anyone has said it but the people moving around was a reference to the music video which is during a school talent show. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it. The guitar duel is part of the live show which is really good fun. The ghouls (especially lead and rhythm guitar) play about with each other/tease each other a lot while Papa is changing outfits. I'd highly recommend checking out Rats or Dance Macabre (very 80s pop!) from the Prequelle album or Square Hammer which was my introduction to Ghost. He Is is also a great song and basically mocking religion by replacing the God/Jesus element with Satan. I've heard of people who've not fully realised what the lyrics are actually play it in religious settings thinking it was talking about Jesus.
This song won them the Grammy for Best Metal Performance in 2016, they beat out Lamb of God, Sevendust, Slipknot, and August Burns Red. Watching the footage of them on the Red Carpet is always fun
Here in Europe, they already increased the size of the venues they play in. I saw them in Paris 2 months ago with around 15000 people, and in ten days I will see them again at HellFest, where they are headlining in front of an audience of 60/80000...
Yeah, I saw them in Manchester on the first show of the European tour. Manchester arena is 21,000 seats. Some were blocked off because of how big the stage was but from where I was (standing a few rows back from the stage and looking back) it looked pretty full!
