As far as "catchy" goes I would suggest Rats or even Witch Image. Life Eternal is up there as well. Basically, all of Prequelle. I would also recommend Watcher In The Sky from newest album. Dig your Ghost reactions. ✌️🤘👻
I believe the piano is the one in a Stockholm studio used by ABBA to record some of their tunes. I think that's deliberate. ABBA Sabbath strikes again 🙂

Call Me Little Sunshine, Hunter's Moon, Faith, and Majesty are all pretty catchy imo. Halloween is coming up and Hunter's Moon would fit perfect 😉...

Catchiest Ghost song? All of them? Okay, fine. I'll go with the one you haven't heard (or posted a video for) that every crowd I've ever seen at a Ghost concert sings at the top of their lungs: Kiss the Go-Goat.
This is one that I think the actual video really enhances the song. So many catchy riffs and melodies. This was definitely an 80's arena pop rock album. Square Hammer is definitely the pinnacle of audio crack though. Didn't see anyone mention "Twenties", which gets stuck in my head due to catchy evilness.
'Twenties' definitely divides the crowd. It took me months to like it! It was the only one I used to skip on this amazing album. But no longer.
Lauren, if you want to hear "catchy" and "heavy" at the same time, check out Ghost "Faith from a Pale Tour Named Death" official music video. I think this song will catch you off guard once more!
Griftwood is quite a catchy tune, imo. Faith is another good one too. There's too msmy to choose from.

It's a fantastic thing to know with Spillways. It was recorded in ABBA's old studio, Polar. And there it was, their old piano, that all great ABBA songs were recorded with. The very same piano as in Spillways! I bet you can recognise it!
Square hammer is great, twenties is amazing, but Zenith lives in my head and heart rent free forever. Its one of the secret songs, and it sneaks up on you- by the second or third time hearing it, i couldnt stop.
I also believe it to be the real sound of the band. Like when you strip away the chameleon aspect.
Catchiest? Probably Square Hammer. Love your spooky coffee mug

Great reaction to ghost as always 💚 yes you should definitely do a reaction to Call me little sunshine, it's a great song. Another great one for a reaction would most definitely be Hunters Moon, it was a song from the previous Halloween movie!! Hint hint Halloween 🎃 is coming lol
Catchy tune but the lyrics are oh so dark 😯. The true genious with this song aint the 80:ness it's the key changes between the verse and the lyrics. So smart. And you don't need to be ashamed that you love the song although it's catchy. In fact Joe Elliott of Def Leppard loves the song so much that he called Tobias amd askes if they could re record it together. Watch Ghost Chapter 15 to see that video.

I'd say catchiest Ghost song is a tie between Mary On A Cross and Square Hammer.

The Impera album as a whole is a totally 80s arena rock album..everything about it screams 80s...Love this album, dont care that a lot of ghost fans think its not great.

Great reaction to Spillways. You're right, it's not quite the equal of "Square Hammer" in terms of catchiness, but after enough listens, it will become an earworm for sure.
I hope you will react to Ghost's "Call Me Little Sunshine" in the near future. You should consider watching the Jimmy Kimmel Live version of this song. They perform the song in an actual mausoleum in California, surrounded by the dead. Tobias is dressed up in his demonic pope costume, and his performance is so creepy & hypnotic. The bass tone is awesome & the background vocals by the "Ghouls & Ghoulettes" are outstanding (they're much louder in the mix than the album version). 🤘👻

This one might be the only one I've listened to more than Square Hammer (maybe Hunter's Moon, because reasons), and it's the first one I discovered on my own. I like all of the Impera album, and I almost never say that.
Oh the catchiest Ghost song is 100% Dance Macabre imo. The verse and the chorus are just extremely good.
Ghost is just so effing great! And youre right, They brought back great 70/80s rock sound!
My first ghost experience was a random feed of them covering a metllica song live which was intriguing to say the least, then i explored them and square hammer ended up being my hook

Just some quick comments, as some of them already have been mentioned by others..
Song is recorded in an old ABBA studio, with a genuine ABBA piano, hence the highly recognizable piano sound throughout the song.
Spillways are the "overflow valves" of dams, regulating the water levels. Comparing this with the mind and soul, people do have the need for spillways to get rid of their darker thoughts and actions.. regardless of religions handing out forgiveness left, right and center that never really works..
The chord progression is a well known one, corresponding to among other hits from the 80:s, I just died in your arms 🙂 The work of a genius though is to weave together the verse and chorus of two different keys, that normally won't work.
Looking forward to "Call me little sunshine" as it is, for me, one of the best from the Impera album.
Then when you get comfortable and think you have covered every category of song with Ghost, I challenge you to listen to "Twenties" from the Impera album for some serious Metal Regeaton 😉

I think the most catchiest song by Ghost is what you heard first. For me it was Year Zero, but I might be alone thinking it is the most catchiest :)

Catchiest? Gotta be 'Call me Little Sunshine' - that one never goes away once heard. The live version performed on something called 'The Jimmy Kimmel Show' is just extraordinary (slightly different mix from the official video version).
The Jimmy Kimmel Show version is the definitive version for me. The background vocals are just 🤌
I would say the catchiest are Mary on a Cross, Dance Macabre and Ritual.
If you want to continue your continuity of every ghost song sounding different you should listen to "ghuleh/zombie".

Impera it’s a great album. Call me little sunshine is a great one. The studio version it’s better than the video, because in the music video the solo is shorted.
Rats sure is a catchy song. And Elisabeth which was their first singel. Spillways is catchy but in a very generic 80:s sound. Square Hammer is a more unique song.

She always lay a decade too late. She said Mary on a Cross sounded 70's, it's more 60's (hippie) and this she said 80's while it's more 70's ABBA, Toto etc.
But she's so young so it's forgivable.
