Paul Jackson Pollock, born on January 28, 1912, is one of the artists, that leaves the deepest mark in abstract expressionist art in the 20th century.
He developed the so-called “drip” technique, using hardened brushes and sticks for splashing and dripping paint onto canvas rolled out over his studio floor. His method was named “action painting” and includes the movement of the whole body during painting. This video reveals his approach to making art and some details about his troubled personal life.
