That's what I don't understand when people say that Jerry Rice is way better.. If Randy Moss had Joe Montana and Steve Young throwing to him his whole career he would have the same number or if he had Tom Brady his entire career.
And also if he played with the patriots as long as jerry rice did with 49ers, we wouldn't be discussing about who the greatest receiver is since it's obvious that moss would be greater than rice.
stinkbandit There would be no discussion. Jerry was mechanically better and had better work ethic, but Moss was probably the most talented receiver to ever step foot on a field.
Sherman being humble? Wow. Goes to show that everyone can appreciate greatness. He knows how great randy was and knows that he probably couldn't take randy on the field. I like it
pthfan712 sherman is a student of the game...he trash talks but every real alpha male trash talls. problem is media doesnt like alpha males especially black alpha males
Sherman is humble to people he respects...he talks the same way about Julio Jones...see the Top 100...if he thinks you are trash you will definitely know because he wont stop talking
I don't think any DB could of covered prime Moss one-on-one all game effectively. Moss had great size at 6'4". He also was a freak at jumping, 42 inch vertical and combine that with his size, he could jump over any DB. He was fast as shit too, a 4.25 40 and he had top 3 top end speed in NFL history. He would torch you on the deep ball all day and he was the greatest deep threat ever.
Jose Lopez moss was in his prime at around 1999-2004 he just happened to make a career comeback to wha he used to be in 2007 his raider days were bad....

Jacob Santana Yeah. Because Moss was still as fast, and could jump as high in the 1 year he played in San Fran before he retired. Everybody knows that Randy would Moss Sherman, one handed while jumping over him.

+ThatKidWitTheAfro It would have been a good matchup. Back during Moss's days, there weren't really any tall DBs... DBs were 6ft and under. Sherman is 6ft 3 and has a wide receiver's mentality, so it would have been really fun to see both of them go up for a pass.
leon scott sherman is as intelligent a player as you can find at ANY position, but I don't care how many science fairs you won, or how many A papers you wrote for a dissertation, none of that is a factor in a straight up foot race. 4.15 is insanely fast. While no doubt Randy Moss was very fast, no one has ever ran that fast at the combine. Chris Johnson currently holds the record with something like 4.22. And Moss is a big guy so he probably ran like a 4.35 or 4.4

Hey ¡¡¡¡ thats nice to see : Terry Bradshaw on Randy Moss conection in one hand catch with Richard Sherman cover ...¡¡¡¡ historic , great ¡¡¡ for the memories
When Harbaugh called Crabtree the greatest catcher of all time everyone went absolutely nuts, but i'm sure it was the same situation. His player made big plays and he was pumped about it and talked him up. Yet everyone made a huge deal about that, how he was disrespecting Jerry Rice bla bla bla. It wasn't let go then, it won't be let go now.
he could of been the best receiver and could argue you he may be the best. imagine if he had as good of a quarterback as jerry rice and the work ethic of him.
I wish Richard Sherman and the Seattle Legion of Boom secondary went up against the likes of Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, T.O. Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, and Michael Irvin.. That would of been something.
LOB did go up against Randy Moss, Chad Johnson, and Steve Smith. T.O was on the Seahawks practice squad but couldn't hack it anymore. Michael Irvin is an big fan of LOB and Jerry Rice finished his career as a Seahawk ;)
That's unfair lol the LOB is one of the best secondary units in history but each of them individual aren't the best db at their position. Now put those receivers agains Ed Reed in his prime - FS Troy Polomlu when he won def MVP (spelled it terrible wrong ik lol)-SS Darrel Revis (healthy and at his best) -CB Dion Sanders-Cb Now that would be a match up worth watching
@@curtissheffield4485 'Dion' wasn't anywhere near his prime when Moss came into the league. If you remember their first (potential) matchup on Thanksgiving of 98, Prime Time was injured.
That's the point LOL. The best can do it and he is the best at what he does. If there was holding all the time ONE of the refs would see it somewhere. There isn't just 1 that isn't seeing it Jackhole!!!
A lot of nostalgia in the comment section, saying a top 15 all time corner would get torched by a top 3 all time receiver. I watched both play in their prime. Stop living in a fairy tale, both guys are elite and Hall of Famers(Sherman is future HOF) and it would be a great battle. Although Moss would take him most times I'd think, Sherman would win plenty of battles. Sherman is known for almost "never" giving up big plays. While Moss is probably the biggest deep threat in NFL history. Both guys would be playing against each other's strengths. Step out of your fairy tale world's. You're letting your hate for a player blind you. Stop mixing emotions with facts and aknowledge it would be a great match up.
@Random Guy2000 he's an all time top 15 on just about every list. Bleacher report has him as the 8th best shutdown corner of ALL TIME. Gives up the least amount of plays over 15 yards of ANY corner in history. Least targeted corner of all time. 6'3" with a 43" vertical. Yeah he must be a total bum.
Moss has been on a 15-1 team and a 16-0 team... neither won the sb... poor guy

1998 Vikings one of my favorite teams of all time.
Prime Moss would have destroyed Sherman and that is saying something cause prime Sherman was really good. Moss was just in a class all by himself.
Randy looking at him like "you ain't holding me kid, FOH" lol
Richard and Randy two of the all time best. Love you guys rooting for RS in SF
Lol randy is like man this nigga won't catch me fuck that
Randy moss with that Steve Harvey suit. 😂😂
Randy Moss has some of the most aura ever. The look the voice everything
Had no idea Moss was so tall!
Ps. The Sherman thing.....he was just hype and emotional after a big game, why can't we all just leave it at that!?
When Harbaugh called Crabtree the greatest catcher of all time everyone went absolutely nuts, but i'm sure it was the same situation. His player made big plays and he was pumped about it and talked him up. Yet everyone made a huge deal about that, how he was disrespecting Jerry Rice bla bla bla. It wasn't let go then, it won't be let go now.
Yeah, Moss is 6 4. And long in the arms.
Maybe he stole it in your eyes. But you don't speak for the rest of the populace. YOU seem the one trying to make it all about him.
Cade Harris
What??? He stole his team's glory? What a joke.
He won the game for his team! Sherman ALL DAY!!!
Cade Harris I heard that crabtree was talking shit:P that's y sherman was so pumped to show him that he was not as bad as crabtree thought he was:/
The whole time randy was thinking like.."this the guy who's scaring all the wrs??lmao
Sherman now has PTSD after he saw Randy catch that with one hand.
he could of been the best receiver and could argue you he may be the best. imagine if he had as good of a quarterback as jerry rice and the work ethic of him.
Richard Sherman got torched by a Jarius Wright, you can only imagine what Moss would do. :D
I love to hear Moss talk-very unique voice. One of the best top receivers of all time!
lol he got mossed
That was a well orchestrated 2 min skit on how to cover a WR in two different situations, open field and Redzone.
Randy got them hands fr bruh, he even does it effortlessly on this clip.
2000 Moss vs 2013 Sherman...man that would be the dream....
NO one guy could guard Moss in his prime.
agreed!!..2000 Moss> Anyone!
Yono84 Darrell green did....and did it very well
The only corner that could beat Moss is Prime Time
Darrell green was faster than deion....he beat Carl lewis in the Olympics Nick Hen. And Darrell shut moss down.
I wish Richard Sherman and the Seattle Legion of Boom secondary went up against the likes of Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, T.O. Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, and Michael Irvin.. That would of been something.
damn bro thatd be a massacre lmfao much respect to LOB tho lol
LOB did go up against Randy Moss, Chad Johnson, and Steve Smith. T.O was on the Seahawks practice squad but couldn't hack it anymore. Michael Irvin is an big fan of LOB and Jerry Rice finished his career as a Seahawk ;)
IncorriGible82 I think he means in their primes
That's unfair lol the LOB is one of the best secondary units in history but each of them individual aren't the best db at their position. Now put those receivers agains
Ed Reed in his prime - FS
Troy Polomlu when he won def MVP (spelled it terrible wrong ik lol)-SS
Darrel Revis (healthy and at his best) -CB
Dion Sanders-Cb
Now that would be a match up worth watching
Christopher Slaughter you will be humility my man and any other defense.
Randy just causally catches the ball with one hand
God damn it Randy's accent lol
It's good to see these young men articulating the game so well. They're going to make good commentators one day.
You’re spot on 8 years later 💯💯
@@chancell0rK It popped up and I commented.
Both not just incredible athletes, but both very smart. You can tell they respect eachother
I think that sherman is skilled enough; it's the laws of physics that make it impossible for him to 1v1 moss.
As good as sherman is - there is NO WAY in any universe Randy is shut out by sherman
He might not be shut out but he'll win the most of the match ups
Although Sherman would definitely win some battles.
Dion couldn't do it
@@curtissheffield4485 'Dion' wasn't anywhere near his prime when Moss came into the league. If you remember their first (potential) matchup on Thanksgiving of 98, Prime Time was injured.
Wow, Edelman’s impression is scarily accurate
Sherman left out the part where he holds when and where the Ref cant see.
part of the game, everyone does it, a calculated risk.
If its not getting called and its benefiting him, why shouldn't he do it?
That's the point LOL. The best can do it and he is the best at what he does. If there was holding all the time ONE of the refs would see it somewhere. There isn't just 1 that isn't seeing it Jackhole!!!
***** get the job done cheathawks it was blatant and obvious when Seattle lost in San Fran during regular season holding holding
Kinda like the Uncalled Hold that got Frank Gore free for that long run where the Vaginers the win in San Francisco?? holding, holding, holding LOL
I love Sherman...he's smart, intense, and can shut down anyone playing in the league today. But NOBODY is going to 'cover' Randy Moss.
38s in you can see Randy just standing there like thats not going to work lol
Sherman couldn't cover him
And you want to hold and grab
The catch at 1:57 was so clean
