Nice video. Love the facility and setting. I'm partial to steam but really like the first gen diesels. My grandfather was a judge in Ashtabula, Ohio. Many friends of the family worked for the railroad. I was taken aboard different locos in the yard and in some local runs. I'll never forget being in the tower as the freights clawed their way through on the harbor Branch, or rattled the windows as they dashed by on the mains.
    Was the shay Nelson's?
    He has some beautiful equipment.

Thats so great you got to experience such things, the stricter rules these days don't allow for it. They ruin everything.. lol . I'm not sure who owned the Shay, but it sure was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your story. And I appreciate you watching. So glad you enjoyed it

Thanks Jerry, the ride was fantastic, this place is not a club, or a tourist spot, its more of a friendship or fellowship by the owner, not sure how to explain it.. he has meets and working days for fellow Hobbiest to come and enjoy his property, I talked to a few people learned alot and left a donation in the box to help with something. The steamers were coal fired, and the diesels were basically v twin 4 strokes, some had sound and bells to cover the lawn mower noise.
