We as listeners saw how a covert narcissist operates and distorts truth. She says her ex husband is the abusive one but in reality she's the one. She cheated and had children with other men. While the ex even after knowing the children aren't biologically his, maintains contact with them. If he was really abusive as she said, would he have really done that? The answer is no. All that regret she feels everyday is just an act for the camera. She was no victim but the real instigator.

They basically try to enforce a particular conformity amongst a group of houses. This may include disallowing the use of certain paint colors, what sort of vehicles can be parked outside, etc.
