The music of 60's and 70's was not perfect pitch but there was something great about it. I guess partly they did not let trying to have perfect technique get in the way of singing with emotion and character. Music of today is just not the same, its lost something. Janis Joplin would maybe not even got an audition on American Idol, but she was such a special icon. Her music was Real. I hear some of that Real with Sage. I do not think she is a Janis Joplin, she is her own singer. I hope she keeps going and hope she brings music like the songs of the great days of music.
