Don, Matt Stein here with my fridge Little Joe. I have to say this is so cool. We are both amateaurs but darn it we get it done. You should be proud of that. Heck I'm so happy for ya. That repair is downright solid and will work for 60 more years. Good job Don. Love your videos and like I said before, they inspired the heck outa me to do my own restorations.
Yup, I agree. Only around for 4 years, got rode hard and put away wet. So glad we can hold the torch for this generation of Ford truck so to speak and keep em on the road.
I've been enjoying this series as I am getting a 59 Ford truck truck to restore. My friend thinks I can do a good job so this helps prepare me to get started.
Thanks for posting this Don! I’m just about ready to tackle my floor brace replacement then onto the outer cab corners. Best video I’ve seen on it. Cheers sir!
Hi don, I'm about to start working on my first ever truck. We just got him running and found some rust hole including a cab corner. I'm worried about messing up as there are no available panels as it's a 72 international, but your videos are helping me to know atleast how to do it.
Thanks so much! Go for it, make some mistakes. I blew out my welds on the cab mount and had to cut the whole repair out, started over and nailed it. Worst that happens is you grind it out and bang at it again. Dig in!
I cheaped out and bought a low budget hammer and dolly set online. No fancy tools! Look at this episode at the 6:32 mark, I used the head of a rubber mallet to shape both pieces and just hammered away. Complete improvise! Thanks for watching!

Thanks Matthew! That's exactly why I'm doing this series. Especially seeing hardly any DIY resto videos on the 57-60 3rd gen Ford trucks.

Pretty good fab job!
Thanks!

Thank you so much! I've been welding for a year now. If I can do it anybody can, right?

How did you made the replacement part???

@@DonWSquared thankyou so much. Also are you using a flux core welder? Like gas less without argon mix?
@@erod4489 Yes, exactly. And a $99 amazon welder. Only the worse (cheapest!) for me...
