My 57 f100 gas gauge reads way too high. Installed new tank, tank sending unit and dash volt meter. Gauge reads past full when full of gas. Gauge reading does drop as I use fuel but never much past full. So which side do I adjust to get proper reading.

What size are the hub caps?

Condensers can be tested for resistance while in the distributor using a digital multimeter. Make sure the condenser is discharged and the points are in the open position. Set the multimeter to ohms. A good condenser will climb from a low number to a high number reading. Then you can do a 2nd test for voltage drop by switching the multimeter to dc volts. The voltage should gradually drop down very low. These tests can also be down with the condenser out of the distributor. Could of saved you tow bill.

Interesting. I tried to get my bumper cover off a few years ago, and removed the rivets on the ends, and the 10 torx screws that hold the cover to the bumper support. I could not release the cover from the bumper support in the center and was planning to cut the three 1" wide plastic tabs. I never did and the car has sat unused. I was unaware of the two long bolts. Now that I look back at the Volvo R&R procedure, I see the two bolts shown but they must have thought it was obvious and the was no instruction to remove them. And in the parts diagram, these bolts (item 10) are shown above the bumper, not below - so it wasn't clear they even exist. Doh! Thanks. You are the only one who has posted anything on this for the S70.

How’d you get the line off without gas going everywhere

Would like more of Engine Joe I had a 1960 and my brother n law I guess you would say was a collector he must of had over 2 dozen over the years 57-60 still it wasn't till recently that I discovered they also came with a Automatic transmission all I ever saw had 3 on the tree or 4 speed grannies so I was really surprised to see this one even more so because it has the 6 cylinder engine would really like to learn more about this and your (or your viewers) thoughts about this combo

Thanks for the awesome tip I didn’t even know that something like this could be done. I’ve got a two speed Merc O Matic on my 63 Mercury Comet. After hitting 30 mph she shifts rather into Top gear. Which is second. Hopefully this will help me narrow down some issues and make the ride much more enjoyable.

Where can I find the hardware for liner install?

To Suze Lewis: You probably have already had this taken care of, but I did manage to re-open my door with the wrong latch installed. You have to thread something like cord or fishing line through the bar hole with the green connector. Pull straight down - DO NOT USE THE CAR DOOR HANDLE - and that releases the latch, you can pull the door open. Tried this three times to make sure. Now I can order the right part and get this thing fixed. But I can still lock up my car so that no one can get in through the swing-up hatch glass.

So I tried this with a 2004 Liberty. Problem was, the part number you showed was for a side door latch not the back. I made the mistake of installing and closing the door and now I can't find any way to get that thing open so I can install the right actuator. Fortunately I have access through the pop up hatch and I can lock the car properly, it's not taped up, that's an improvement. But sure would like to get 'er open again so I can get the right latch installed. Tried pulling on the lever bars manually, but no go. And not enough access to hammer it out. And of course the pull wire can't reach the connector, so that's not an option, either. Advise, if possible.
