    It’s not a mistake when it’s done over and over and over. That’s a choice. A conscious decision

    Great info. Iv always been concerned my partner hasn't really grasped the work that's involved in this process but Instead believes all that's required is for me to heal emotionally and him to be nicer towards me. He's been great in caring for me in some ways but you guys have made me realise that that is just the tip of the iceberg. The real work needed involves him working on himself, not just in regard to the relationship but in healing his health, his habits and most importantly his spirit. Thanks so much for what you do. Its an amazing gift to provide this info for free and I'm forever grateful. God Bless.

    Very well presented. It's so complex a situation. I find it fascinating to some degree the depth of the psychology behind it. It's nice seeing reassurance that things many of us feel isn't a personal fault but something more normal. A couple of years ago, I was getting close to just giving up on everything, when I luckily stumbled onto a few youtube channels like yours. They really validated my feelings, which gave me at least some hope I wasn't just worthless and the future wasn't hopeless. So thank you and keep up the good work. The therapist I had seen actually made me feel worse and more of a failure. Your channel and some others have made me feel the opposite.
    The content being consumed is such a big thing. Prior to my wifes affair, nothing really triggered me. Now, even a basic G rated soap can have cheating in it, which is like a stab in the back memory. Non-stop pop songs full of cheating or bragging how they have more money or freedom to steal someone's partner, etc. Worst thing is its always treated like nothing in movies. Someone punches or slaps the AP and everyone moves on like nothing happened. No mention of lingering depression and anxiety for years, altered mindsets, loss of dreams or hopes, fractured relationships even beyond husband and wife etc.
    Oh yeah my wife listened to song about a guy getting with someone elses girl and bragging about it while she was having an affair. Was just a catchy tune to me then, now its a poignant reminder of an event where my entire world nearly ended.
    As someone who is quite safety and security and future oriented, any affair is devastating because that plan and ideals of future security were also shattered. Add in the constant thoughts that maybe they were giving money/gifts etc to the other person, which was part of YOUR security.

      @Ja Ke. Everything you have said is so very true. No one can imagine the things that can trigger one after finding out that one has been cheated on by him repeatedly. It's horrible. The damage. The shame. The trauma. Even the friends who seem to ignore you after. Yet many people condone this behavior.
      If you're religious, seek God. Pray. Heal.

    How can you say it's a "mistake" when it's done over and over and over again? By then, I think it's a habit or an addiction.

      Abuse is a choice. It's not a mistake. Time to set boundaries and move on. This most of the time will get them to realize what they are doing. And if they don't want to change and get therapy then you save yourself. Time to go

    Ask for a like and subscribe halfway or towards the end of the video......asking in the beginning (when I dont even know you yet) is presumptuous

    What about if your spouse has a sexual addiction. The desperation is there for help and change (the unfaithful partner), yet the likelihood is still possible it may happen again until the help actually starts to work (if it works).

    What do you do when your partner doesn’t want to do the work to save the relationship?

    • @vanessarenae5169
      @vanessarenae5169 Год назад

      You step out of the relationship with boundaries in place. If you want to give them time, like 3-6 months foe them to see themselves and get the help they need to heal and recognize the harm and devastation they've done.
