Yeah so I bought a Turbo Levo Expert and one of the first things I did was put this fork on and it is a huge upgrade. The OTT settings and what it does for all the small chatter blows away the big boys designs. It’s really amazing especially of you get it custom tuned. Highly recommend this fork to anyone that wants better technology and far better customer service. I got mine in a flat black color. I think you get more color options on the Onyx.
As a local, I'm digging all the Beacon content. Always gives me inspiration to try a new trail. Video series idea: Ride literally every named trail at Beacon.
The DVO Onyx is legit. Paired mine with the Jade X coil. Really enjoy the OTT adjustment. Only con so far is the non existent clicks on the HSC adjuster.
DVO....gave me so much happiness when I owned the Diamond, (650b) and gave me so much sadness when I had to sell the fork on the bike when I bought a new bike (29er)
Does the Onyx SC feel stiffer &/or more composed than the Fox 36 to you? With Rockshox and Fox coming out with new 38mm stanchion forks, i'd love to see them compared to the Onyx. I just put an Onyx DC on my DH bike. Haven't got it dialed yet, but it already feels better than the 40 it replaced.
Congrats mate, DVO are beautiful forks, I had Sapphires on my last bike. Loved them, people need to get more time on them and they might get pulled away from RS and Fox. I run Cane Creek Helm Coil now but I'm going to put another DVO fork on my HT.
Which shock you eyeing up? I went with the Jade X coil since I wanted the compression adjust lever and I freaking LOVE IT!!! The classic Jade is tuneable if you like to tinker but the pedal platform on the Jade X is incredible on my Bronson.
hell yeah! I've heard great things from dvo but I just can't get myself to like any of their colorways. the blue seems to clash with anything as well as the green. they can look good on some bikes tho! I've ridden about 40 miles in the last 3-4 days which is quite alot for me and I'm absolutely loving it. if I had infinite energy, I'd never ever stop
I just put on a rockshox pike rct3 fork on my Polygon d7. It was a new old stock. I just couldn't pass up the deal for 350$ its takes bumps unbelievable. I don't even know half the settings on it haha lol. Keep up the great videos 👊
Seems to be a good fork you got there. Now the quetion is, if its better than the zeb ult and thefox 38 factory. I currently ride a zeb ult, and the amount of support it offers is something else. The only bad thing is that the rebound might not be fast enough for riders about 55kg
Hey I live in cda and I ride beacon hill I haven’t rode in a while because my dad got a concussion when riding his bike at his friends property and black out, just want to say I love what your doing and stay safe and have fun. And let me know when your going to silver mountain.
Cool video! I have the same fork (but in boring black :) ) and would like to ask you if yours also makes an air sucking noise while moving through it's travel? I think I heard it in you video, but I'm not sure. Mine squeaks like a toy :) If you'vr experienced the same thing can you tell me if it goes away in time? If not, is it normal or do I have to send it in for repairs?
I just bought a new fox 36 to go with my coil shock on my Jeffsy. Cant wait to get it all setup. thats the funnest part to me. What is that loud clanking noise coming from on your bike?? chain slap? if so i think you need to try out the STFU chain silencer product.. you may love it
Nice riding, nice trail, even cooler dog! even with the party foul lol building up an evolink 140 but can't choose a fork man. Is the weight penalty on the dvo sc minimal? it's between this and a fox 36 grip 2, is what my budget is telling me. thanks for any reply.
Weights are very similar, but the Dvo blows the fox out of the water in performance in my opinion. Smooth small bump, and soaks up the big stuff with ease.
Man you can shred! I have a 150mm DVO beryl on my bike. Went to a bikepark-esque place the other day, with some drops in them. Put some extra pressure on the fork, which worked out very well. But on my home trails, the thing was bouncing all over the place on the rock garden descent. Any tips? I’m thinking volume spacers myself, so I can run lower psi on the bigger drops.
Just got a letter from DVO, after asking how to make my Beryl more progressive. I couldn’t find how to add spacers, and it turns out that’s true in the case of the Beryl. To make the Beryl more progressive , I have to add 5-10 ml of 7.5wt oil to the air chamber.(through the valve core) Also; avoid rock shox and Máxima fluids as they make their seals swell.
@@TheShredist it's all good dude haha it's not too distracting. I just noticed it because it sounds the same as my last bike. I'm sure it's possible to adjust it out but I'm not that good of a mechanic 😂 love the videos man :)
Hey man, I made a comment that you responded to about how loud the bike is earlier, and realized it could have come across as hateful. I didnt mean it to be that way at all. Sorry about that, love the videos.
Its definitely more lively than the capra and feels lighter on the climbs. Only gripe that I need to get that chain slap and cable rattle quieted down! Super happy with it though 🤘
Gotta say, I really like that blue. Never was much of a fan of DVO green.
Wow what a great trail! Props to the trail builders on their rock usage choices!

Stright to the chunk. Now that's a good way to test and wear in a fork.
5:38 that section is awesome! i would love to hit that some day!
Those trails are awesome 👏
Stalingrad looks awesome, it was the most fun to watch imo. High speed and lots of jumps!
Love my DVO squish bits! Got a Diamond D1/Topaz on one bike and an Onyx/Jade X on the other 🤘🏽💚🤘🏽
You were riding with my father in this video and it makes my whole family nervous watching these videos!
Hes a great rider!
@@TheShredist yup!
Nice one mate 🤙 nice gimbal love the balance especially over those rollers 👌
It matches perfectly with the bike
Looks as good as it rides 🔥
Niceee
Just found the channel. I'm in Dalton so it's awesome to see the local stuff. Keep it up.
Beacon hill doesn't disappoint! Coils are taking over the world!
Coils are the way to go imo!
@@TheShredist I think you've tipped me over to demoing some cool suspension
As a local, I'm digging all the Beacon content. Always gives me inspiration to try a new trail. Video series idea: Ride literally every named trail at Beacon.
Expect additional riding content soon 🤘

That's very true, I wish it had clicks!
DVO....gave me so much happiness when I owned the Diamond, (650b) and gave me so much sadness when I had to sell the fork on the bike when I bought a new bike (29er)
Great video! U should put a GoPro on the back of your bike and do a split screen so we can see your dog behide u as u ride.😁
Yaaas!
Great idea!
Ello cant wait to watch this...
- I love how you dog is just as fast as you thats so sick!
More content? Yum yum. I'm looking for a new fork so i'll check DVO out.
Came across your videos then realized it’s Beacon hill. I’m there two to three times a week!
Yeah I’d say those are some good trails to break in suspension, look really fun.
Send it! 🤙🏻
Love the blue fork lowers.
Stalingrab is such a fun trail!
Love those trails. Spokane has amazing riding spots
Joining the Polygon gang soon. My T7 should be here in July
I have one and its sweet haha,, awesome bike.

DVO blue boi is the way to go. I love mine.

I have always wanted to ride Beacon Hill but it's 6 .5 hr away from me. Some day, some day.
I just put on a rockshox pike rct3 fork on my Polygon d7. It was a new old stock. I just couldn't pass up the deal for 350$ its takes bumps unbelievable. I don't even know half the settings on it haha lol. Keep up the great videos 👊
Looks like a great place to ride :D nice way to test the new fork :D

Nice vid man! Love the chill vibe.
Just got a new Yari, and love it!

I guess I better put a pause on my school work!
for the heavy hits, try out marzochi bomber.
You get a like because I got a border collie too. I'm looking to get a Ripmo AF with the DVO onyx. Recommend?

Looks smooth. May need to demo a fork
Hey! its me again complaining about the noisy bike! ;) What is it this time? ;)
I'm guessing it's the chain slapping the frame but who knows 🤷
Check out the built in fender it looks so good for this fork. Doesn’t protect much though 😂
I just bought a new fox 36 to go with my coil shock on my Jeffsy. Cant wait to get it all setup. thats the funnest part to me. What is that loud clanking noise coming from on your bike?? chain slap? if so i think you need to try out the STFU chain silencer product.. you may love it
I was just hearing the chain slap and thinking how quiet my bike is in comparison
I’ve always wanted a dvo fork
Would you say the DVO is better than the fox 36/38?
I love how the trail is called brain damage!
MattCat 21 I can take partial responsibility for that one. We built it in ‘99.
How did you like the Reign? That's why I have. Still getting used to it but love it so far
It was super fun, felt comfortable on it pretty quick!
Ur dog is so cute!! Love the vids
you should do Hollywood super fun trail .
AWSOME suspension!! Maybe try to quiet down all the rattling
I'm looking into that this weekend 🤣
Yeah the rattling was pretty annoying
Nice riding, nice trail, even cooler dog! even with the party foul lol

What’s you GoPro setup? It looks so good so I’m just wondering.
Sweet video so calm
Would recommend getting this fork over doing a Smashpot coil in a fox 36 ?
You can Smashpot this fork
Woooooohoooo new video day
Not sure if I missed this but what settings are you running on the onyx? Having a little trouble getting mine dialed in

That is the loudest bike in existence 😂. Thats the reason I sold my polygon
Yeah I'm going work on that this week. It doesn't bother me while riding, sure shows up in the video though! 🤣

DVO that's a surprise 🙄 what pedals do you run?
Do you sell any of your old parts? I ask because i'd love to find a nice fork for my wifes bike. Another great vid.
I’m thinking of making my bike a 1x9 do you know of any good single speed chain rings that aren’t too expensive?
Another question: what is your favourite strain? ;)
Kinda old video now But what are ur settings on the suspension ?
Hey man, I made a comment that you responded to about how loud the bike is earlier, and realized it could have come across as hateful. I didnt mean it to be that way at all. Sorry about that, love the videos.
It's all good! I've had way worse comments haha
Dang! I didn't notice. 🤦♂️
1 out of 10 what would you rate your polygon mtb?
Interesting stuff!
your bike seems to be kinda loud on rocky stuff... is it the chain/derailleur or something else?
Its definitely chain slap
Nice video 🚵🏻♂️👍🏼
Planing on buying t7 how does polygon ride is she lively on the rear, are there bike lighter👍
Its definitely more lively than the capra and feels lighter on the climbs. Only gripe that I need to get that chain slap and cable rattle quieted down! Super happy with it though 🤘
Awsomee
Nice vid!
4:52 its better than having blood on your shins from dropped pedals! look at life positively!
I got that out of the way early this season! 🤣
Whats that clank noise every time u land a jump? Chain slap?
Yeah, I need to address that. It's a little noisy!
I’m going to be at Beacon in my Black and blue Trance today if anyone wants to come. 11-4 Hollywood
It’s funny how in America there is a trail basically named after a Russian city
Or its funny that a Russian city was named after a American Trail?😂😂
I do believe that Stalingrad is a little bit older than both America and that trail.... But funny!
try an mrp coil shock
Actually you're a ASMR professional ☺️
Is this trail near to an airport or a flight training zone?
Haha yeah, there's a small airfield in the distance, the planes where especially active this evening.
Where is the commencal?
Downstairs 👍
I want to try the onyx over my diamond.
Yo dude are you at beacon hill that’s where I ride pretty much all the time
Yessir!
put your dhx2 from your capra on your new bike
Not the right type of fitment 🤷♂️
the dog seems chill but should be on leash regardless or left at home.
Never heard of those forks they look similar to lyriks
Loudest tire buzz ever.
You remind me of @toasty ghost
random comment for RUclips algorithm
You grow 5000 every week
When you swap out for the coil can you send me your old suspension? I could use it.
Why is your sick so noisy?!
you`re bike ain`t sounding good mate, go check what`s wrong with it!
Cable rattle 🤪
