    I wonder if you did this test with the Zeb with the 3.1 damper. Allegedly they are more supple and wider range.

    If you want better small bump sensitivity but do not want to loose the Support, gibt the onyx the 2.5 damping oil but exchange 1 compression shim for a thicker one or add some thinner ones. I think this would get you maxximum performance. Support plus sensitivity.
    I like their damping Structure. The compressable bladder cannot blow, bleeding is easy as with a ifp but you still have the low friction of a bladder. This it is a great reliable system.

      Shim stacks are above me at this point, how do you know what each shim does?

      Form Starters It is just enough to Know, if you want or Need to close hsc too much IT is rather Wirth top strengthen the shimstack top bei able top Run IT wider Open, thus not top preload the shims. So Just Exchange one existing shim Wirth the Same Diameter But a thicker one or add a thin second shim on top of it.
      For more sensitivity I would go Wirth thinner oíl and instado strengthen the shimstack. Will given BEST of both worlds

    Just get a mezzer pro.
    Stiffness "only between zeb and lyrik" but more performance out of the box than float 38 or zeb, only 2080 gramm for 180mm 29er fork, hbo, and irt (double positive chamber) for outstanding Support while rivalising the zeb charger3 in sensitivity. The pm is 180 mm, thus you can easily adjust if you want a 200mm or 203mm disc. Max is 220mm.
    Love that fork. Only one I kept for years besides the intend flash, which I will also keep for many years. Two best forks out of the box, especcially when looking at weight/stiffness/performance ratio.
    If this not enough you can easily shim and bleed it at home and there are some very good aftermarket tuning options as well. Very highly recommend

    No,best Service is intend, fast friendly, listening to special requests, cheap spare parts. Besides the New airspring is oretty dope. You can travel it by just Rotation the fork leg wirh Connecticut pump. 1mm per Rotation. 190-160 at the Flash, 180-150mm at the edge

      Mine was through DVO NZ and they normally build their own forks purchased aftermarket but mine came new on a bike.
      But they were excellent 1 day turnaround - but still need to see how it goes, going for a ride shortly.

    Really cool down to earth vid mate. Got a question about front suspension if yoh could cast some light on it. I'm looking at upgrading my 130mm rl silver forks to something bigger,160mm to 190mm either zebs or fox 36. Keep hearing that you should only go 10 to 20 mm about whats standard on the bike because it can change the geometry and put stress on the frame. Would using an angleset headset and changing the offset counter this or will they run fine just putting them on or will the bike explode as people seem to think? I'm riding a calibre bossnut v2.
    Cheers dude

      I would not put such a big fork on that frame as it, as you mention, not meant to take the load that a that much slacker head tube angle will dish out.

    • @kkit7540
      @kkit7540 4 месяца назад

      @@pernyberg2816 cheers for replying dude, would not a angleset counter the change?. I've ran the difference in a geometry calculator for bikes and the change is just under 3 degrees,then with a angleset i could reduce that by 2 degrees and changing the reach of the bike by up to 0.75 degrees. With a shorter offset than my current one 44mm to 37mm. Theoretically reducing any shift in degrees back to its original geometry. Even without changing a fork anglesets allow people to change the geometry safely so would that not apply to having a bigger fork? This is all research atm into getting an understanding so all and any thoughts am welcome

      Not sure if your frame is handle the extra leverage forces (and more rowdy riding that comes witch such fork).
      Besides that, you also lift the front end up a lot, so it will be harder to load the front wheel, and while highering the front your seatangle will move as well further backwarts, so paddling up you will be more over the back wheel.
      From 130 to 150 might be doable with a bit of work, but it sounds to me that you try to stretch the bike in something that it just isnt.
      Probably time to upgrade to something more burly.

      Gone for the fox factory 36 160mm with a shorter 37mm offset

    • @pernyberg2816
      @pernyberg2816 3 месяца назад +1

      @kkit7540 ok. If you put an angleset on remember that when youngonthrough the travel you headtube angle will get silly steep and you don't want that. That is why you don't want to make such a big change in fork travel on ANY frame. 👍
