- This clip is dedicated to the EQ on the Metro-Plex. It doesn't work like a traditional plexi EQ. An old school Marshall guy might dime everything and wonder why it's so harsh sounding. This explains why and suggests some starting settings.
No one has pointed out yet that Hot Blooded was Foreigner, not Loverboy. I was trying to be funny with that, kind of an inside joke. Maybe no one has watched til the end. LOL Ah well, hope the clip is useful for EQ tips.
Metropoulos Amplification George anyone smart enough was too busy listening to that harmonic goodness to notice
Sounds awesome George!
Sounds incredible George. The Metro-Plex is a home run! What pickups are in that Les Paul?
This monster amp just sounds freaking glorious!!!
Awesome man,I love it!
middle control is most effective which is exactly what I experience on my 69 1987 50 watt. it's seems on my plexi that the mid control has a very different thing happening from about 12 o'clock to 2 o'clock.
Hey George, killer tones! Just wondering what cab you're using in this demo? The old '68 or one of your new cabs? I'm sure there's probably not much difference, I'm just curious! Cheers.
Believe it or not, it's my Randall ISO cab. Loaded with an Austin Speaker Works KTS-70 and a Beyer M160 ribbon mic. Best combo I've found yet.
Metropoulos Amplification Nice, well that's interesting! Beyer mics are always a great choice, I've use them, but I've never played through a KTS-70... only heard good things though. I like it! ..Do you have any 4x12's loaded with KTS-70's? I'd be keen to hear that. I'm in the market for some new speakers &/or cab. Loving that midrange punch BTW!
Can you tell me anything else about the treble control? (is it like a bright cap thing?)
could one mod a 2203 or a DSL to have this eq? Thanks
How the hell is that Presence Control still working with the Master Volume that low?
How do I get one George? Sounds awesome!
Call or email Cliff at Destroy All Guitars. Glad you like it!
