Now you really need to get back on Tone-Talk George to tell us more about the DVL-1 ............Nice work !! and awesome tone !
Overlooked from his great second to none amps…. George is an unbelievable player. An open channel of awesome riffs
Anyone that plays Thin Lizzy gets my vote and that mid boost is fantastic!
F***ing Hell! This is unbelievable. I've wanted one of George's 10000 or 12000 series amps for years.... but this just blows everything right out of the water. 3 iconic amps are all dialed in and available at the touch of a button. Amazing. And it sounds fresh! Like a brand new plexi off the bench in the 60's might have. Most modern plexi sounding amps sound new/modern in a bad way. This sounds new in that its running at peak performance and not tired or worn out. Well done!!! If you need me I'll be googling the going rate on kidneys...
Thanks for demonstrating how great a Marshall-type amp can sound clean/ish. I don’t get any practical use or need for the cranked tones, as much as i love them.
It’s so tough with all of RUclips’s compression but it really feels a lot tighter and chunkier in the “chug” dept. couple that with the standard Metropoulos eargasmic tone spectrum and finally a modern sounding amp I like..,(besides Dave’s of course...gotta show respect to the Michigan Mafiosi!)
You’re best amp to date man. Sounds great with the tighter filtering!
Hottest shit I've ever seen.
As a DVL-1 owner I can vouch this amp sounds just like this.
If this ever gets released in a 20W or 30W version I am 100% buying it!!
That mid boost sounds great for leads where you don’t need more gain per se, you just need it pop out with a little more authority. But also just good if you want a different kind of rhythm tone as well. What might be a cool feature, if you could assign it to a channel so that when you change the channel it just came on automatically.
Agreed! When you hit the mid boost in a band scenario and hear how it pops your tone out through the mix it's a revelation!
do you know what would be amazing with this amp? a third channel with jcm800/silver jubilee voices. George, do you think this is technically possible? Insane amp btw, will probably get around to ordering one next year. Especially if this third channel option can somehow be added
WOW....I'm glad I just found this. I was just talking about how I haven't seen a demo of a Metro amp with a really tight, punchy/percussive "super-crunch" rhythm tone dialed in. He nailed it here. I'd love to hear how well his other amps pull that off. I'm trying to decide which one to buy.
THIS is a superb amplifier. SUPERB. As one who sticks to 50's Strats, old Marshalls AND METRO HEADS, built by the man himself, it's time to add the DVL-1. Talk about a beautifully engineered amp. Fabulous. George is brilliant. No surprise. But this kind of tone, in a modern, two channel amp is another matter. Yeah......it's time. Beautiful. SO well thought out.
WOW!!!! It's all the sounds in my head!!!!
I got to say currently I can’t resist all that awesome high voltage! You got some real power there. Lol
Fkn hell.....what epic tone. Loving the darker character and the way chords come together. Nice warmth and bounce. 👍
Sounds really great George!🤘🔥🤘
tone for days! great job, George and William!
Wow.
Just WOW!
Freakin’ magical!🤘🏻
Sounds fantastic!
what a great playing!
Sounds incredible well. Love it
Amazing tone and dynamics, even through RUclips. Anywhere from AC/DC to Ride The Lightning.
Does the gold les paul you are using here and in other videos still have Throbak dt-102b's in it, and does the teaburst colored les paul have the Throbak Mick Taylor mt-102b's in it? Trying to get a feel if you are using different style pickups which will make a difference in sound. Thanks.
'65/66 plus Channel is my fave I think.
Sounds sweet!
Wow
What are the pups in that plank? Inquiring minds want to know!🤘😜🤘
I believe George has Throbak pickups in his goldtop
@@BrentHarmon Yep. SLE-101
@@metroampcom How do you like those pickups George?
