With #WorldEnvironmentDay, #NationalRunningDay and #BikeWeek100 in the week gone by, it had to be a bikes, trains and running weekend. Our parkrun tourism travels took us to Crewe parkrun, also influenced by a model railway event on at the heritage centre that afternoon. Crewe park was beautiful if slightly "undulating" course, you actually run under part of the course that you finish on, which gives you some idea of the gradients involved. But the lake, trees and the amazing volunteers all helped get us round, of course with a sweet or two for Iona as well. South Cheshire Harriers had their couch to 5k graduates running and it was great to see them celebrating (and to enjoy some of their post run cake!) followed by a fabulous breakfast at the cafe which is just yards from the finish. After we had a "slight" disruption to our plans when Ewan's tyre exploded, resulting in a walking trip to a bike shop a mile away to get it fixed before heading to an afternoon of model (and BIG) railway fun. All in a all, another great day's parkrun tourism! Hope you enjoy the film of our tourism adventure, please like and subscribe to our channel: ruclips.net/user/alittleadventuretime
Great video! Crewe Parkrun is my local parkrun, it's definitely undulating.. I was there on Sat as part of the South Cheshire Harriers takeover and can confirm it was very hot! :) Glad you enjoyed it!
