His goofiness and actions that may seem disrespectful are simply making the information more palpable for the audience than word vomit. On top of that Linus expressed how he is impressed with his tools, the finish and other various things throughout the video. I guess, in short, take it how you want it.

well, because IT IS a gold faraday cage. Fine wire mesh does a great job blocking radio signals, a solid shield made of gold, one of the most conductive metals on this planet... I just wouldn't expect it to have the best wireless performance, if not at all. But it still has the USB port, you can still play games with it wired

It will work but it will have reduced range. How is it possible? The controller is not sealed shut and the bluetooth signal doesn't need to go very far so it works out. (It helps that there are many gaps in the shoulder buttons and triggers which is roughly the area where the bluetooth signal propagates from) That said I kinda expect around 5 feet of range to be on the upper limit before it starts acting up or losing connection.
@@alexisrivera200xable Bluetooth runs at 2.4GHz, or a ~12cm wavelenght. Tiny cracks like that would let almost nothing through (hint: microwaves operate at the same frequency at ~1kW and the relatively coarse mesh in the door manages to keep enough in that it doesn't even disrupt your WiFi which is about 10000 times weaker).
That being said, it *will* work because dumb shielding like this (not designed to use reflections to cause destructive interference) doesn't do much without grounding.

This is great but still a huge compromise. There's room for improvement if you make it out of platinum and replace the stock buttons with gemstones - ruby, emerald, topaz & sapphire for the ABXY to match the colors.
You should put this up for auction after this is all over. With a starting price of whatever the material/labor cost was, and have linus' signature engraved on it somwhere.
Engraving a signature would remove more dollar's worth of gold than the signature would add to it's worth....
