Cat teaches you patience. You have to pay attention to them, understand their body language, know their dislikes and likes; a lot like humans. So when a cat loves and trust you, you know you're doing something right and you must mean a lot to them! 4) Cat wins.

There is no winner. It is a simple matter of "what's better, chocolate or vanilla?" Its down to opinionated preference based on a person's own experience with each animal.

Well let me say something. Dogs have more neurons than cats. They are much more intelligent. Cats can't Herd or rescue. Dogs were bred to listen and to be loyal. Shibas are almost the worlds most ancient dog breeds and their are similar to cats. Cats weren't bred to be loyal or to listen. Dogs were. I love both animals but prefer dogs more because of their loyalty and love.

It takes a lot of effort to earn a cat's trust and love. A cat's loyalty to the owner that earned its trust is just as much as a dog's. A cat's love is also more intense than dogs. Dogs also often bark when someone walks past their owner's house at any hour, be it noon, 10pm or 4am. ..but that's where I live. We don't have to worry about robbers, so I understand why having a living alarm would be valuable. I also think that someone living a few blocks away from me would say the complete opposite, that they're dogs protect them from people who want to rob them. And I'm sure they do.
