    I love the display of the 4 Volca's on top of your KeyStep. You can play the bigger keys and sequencer and still reach out to all the knobs to modulate 4 sounds. Very nice.

    That’s a wonderful sound! The bass pattern, the fm arpeggios, and the keys lead sound fantastic together!
    I hope your decision about your workflow will be easy for you.

  • @heathbrady8510

    Lovely melody. Tasty building little breakbeat . The volca keys lead sound is magic. You really do outstanding work , your ear for layering complimentary Melody and arrangement is excellent and it is for these reasons why I am audacious enough to dare to say …
    That a “couple” of times in the last couple of minutes I REALLY wanted you to revisit the bass sequence and change /overwrite a couple of alternate notes into that bass line ..or shorten the seq length..even right at the end …
    But you did not , and it was not meant to be.

    Welcome back, hope you had a good vacation? Sounds great, I know what you mean about sequencing the Volcas externally, I like to with the FM and Keys but the Bass is less satisfying somehow.

    • @Volcaniced
      @Volcaniced  2 года назад +1

      Really? The Bass is less satisfying?

    • @SebticSmile
      @SebticSmile 2 года назад

      @@Volcaniced yes because you can't sequence the 3 oscillators independently externally - more satisfying to do it on the box (as you do so well)

    You think you could do a video on how you set all the Volcas to the correct MIDI channel?
    After recently picking up a KSP, i've been trying to control each of my Volcas with it (Drum, Bass, Keys & FM1) and just can't seem to figure it out for some reason.
    I have all the Volcas hooked up to a MIDI Thru Box with the KSP going to the IN on the Thrubox and for some reason it will only control the FM and none of the others.
    No idea why, no matter how far down Reddit rabbit holes I go lol.
    Pls help. 🥲🥲🥲

    • @Volcaniced
      @Volcaniced  Месяц назад +1

      Especially the VS 2 let you decide if you want to play each sample induvidually or not. You can change this in the options.

  • @markmanter6508
    @markmanter6508 10 месяцев назад +1

    So you don’t need to have the Volcas synced together when doing this?
    …I’ve been going about this the wrong way I think 😅
    I’ve been trying to go for the same setup except instead of the sample I’m using a Volca Drum.
    Any shot you could do a video on setting up the midi channels between each volca and the KSP? Please? For my sanity? Lmfao 😅

    • @Volcaniced
      @Volcaniced  10 месяцев назад

      To setup the volcas midi channel press and hold fuct+record when starting the volca. Expect the drum and sample. There you can setup more midi channels ... Read the manual for this information please. To setup the ksp go the the options -- midi ...

    Super gut gemacht!! Ich liebe es auch mit meinen Volcas zu jammen, allerdings habe ich LEIDER nur das Keystep Pro, als ich es gekauft habe, war ich noch ziemlich unwissend und weil Sam (look mum no Computer) es auch benutzt hat, hab ichs gekauft. Ein paar Monate später kam dann das Keystep raus. Ich hab wenig Platz und Keys wären mir lieber als die Pads. Mittlerweile ist das Keystep Pro so extrem teuer, das kann sich ja kein Mensch mehr leisten. Vielleicht nächstes Jahr🤷‍♂️ . Allerdings hat es letzte Woche mit dem MicroFreak geklappt😃, das Teil erschlägt einen ja schon fast mit seinen ganzen Funktionen. Vor ein paar Tagen hab ich dann auch noch das Mikrofon bekommen. Wirklich unglaublich!! Und das Beste ist, ich bin im Sommer in meinem Garten, hier gibts nur etwas Solarstrom, aber den Freak kann ich ganz einfach an eine Powerbank anschließen, Kopfhörer auf und abtauchen. .. viele Grüße aus der Stadt mit dem Herkules.

      Wunderbar was du so schreibst. Ich denke allerdings du meinst den Beatstep Pro. Ein tolles Gerät auch mit Volcas. Haben Slenterende Beer sehr gut gezeigt. ruclips.net/user/SlenterendeBeer .... Zum MicroFreak würde ich dir noch ein NTS 1 empfehlen weil die Reverbs und delays für den Preis unschlagbar sind. Und du kannst weitere Patches Hinzuladen. Ich wünsche dir Jedenfalls viel Spass be Jammen mein Freund.

    Cool! And I know what you mean. I am a noob in any way, but when playing with the Beatstep and the volcas, even the long-time-missed-by-me feature to use more than 4 beats in a song feaes like loosing touch with the volcas....

    I have 3 volcas (drum, bass, FM2) and volca Mix. Your video is very inspiring. I am quickly limited by the 16 steps. I compared keystep pro and the Sq-64 with each other. I think I will copy your setup. I understood that I needed a Quadra Thru midi and the volca keys seems essential. Question: will I have to give up the volca Mix to take a mixer ?

    • @Volcaniced
      @Volcaniced  Год назад

      hmmmm thats a good question. I love my Behringer/Roland Mixer Setup cause I can directly record everything (cideo and audio) into my smartphone ... i think the Volca Mixer is a nice gimmick but at the end ... get yourself a proper mixer and a good reverb pedal (MX 70 CDR for beginning)

      @@Volcaniced Der Slave z.B. Volca oder Monologue startet ein zwei Steps später und nach ein paar Takten kommt er aus dem Tritt. Ist auch nicht so tragisch, da man beim KSP MIDI-Clock ohne Start/Stopp senden kann, worum es mir eigentlich ging. Hab ja kein Vintage Zeug. Ansonsten ist das Ding der Hammer.

    • @Volcaniced
      @Volcaniced  Год назад +1

      There are 16 midi channels... So it is possible to add 12 more Volcas to multiply the fun.

    • @markmanter6508
      @markmanter6508 11 месяцев назад

      @@Volcanicedyou do this with a midi thru box and then set each device to the appropriate MIDI channel right?
      I then have each Volca running into a line mixer that runs into my audio interface. I used to have each Volca running into it, line on my audio interface, but that wasn’t working because my key step only allows me to control my Volca FM, none of the others… No matter what I do with midi.
      Also, no matter what I do with Settings in my daw and Keystep, I get sound through my headphones out of my audio interface, absolutely nothing, not even a hum out of my monitors.
      It’s getting very frustrating lol

    • @kirkanos771
      @kirkanos771 2 года назад +1

      I dont think they made an older one in the pro series. Its only Keystep, Keystep 37, Keystep Pro. Only the pro version manages four tracks of midi sequence/channel.

      @cavacino 2 года назад +1

      @@kirkanos771 i was meaning the keystep original was thinking of getting one they reasonable price .... as in with the midi thru can u control the 4 volcas on the OG or is the pro needed to do it?

    • @Volcaniced
      @Volcaniced  2 года назад

      Yes you can control up to 16 midi channels with the keystep. But you have not the powerful sequencer. You can play the sequence on the keystep and record it on the volcas directly
