- My best friend Kevin recently got a Porsche 997 Carrera S and I have been listening to him talk about all the potential mods he wants to do when he saves up enough money. You don't have to be in the garage every day for your friends to appreciate you. Sometimes is just about presence you have when you are there. As a viewer I can say we all feel when you are in the vids and how you impact the team as whole. So take it from me watching it 1000 miles aways from a screen. Having owned multiple GT3s, GT4RS and currently a 991.2 3RS … a 997 Aerokit car is what I have been chasing for some time to do this exact build. Hard to describe how good these cars are. Congrats to Kevin. I’ve seen his posts on Rennlist looking for an aerokit car. Glad he finally had it all come together. Having a 997 factory aero car is a big IYKYK flex in the pcar community. There is a reason these are shooting up in value.

TJ if you see this take my advice. Buy a Venom induction heater. Dillion wouldn’t have snapped either of those bolts and will save you hours of struggle and heartache. It will heat your bolts up to a glowing temperature in about 20 seconds and come out with ease.
Got one best money u can spend touch it to the bolt rapidly heats up and ton easier to get off
I absolutely love mine!! Plus with all the different electrodes you can get for it.... Works awesome!! I don't just use mine for bolts.... I've used it on stuck tie rods also.
We use it at work in an industrial setting, and it really does work wonders. We purchased one 8 months ago and it’s made our lives sooo much easier 4 hour jobs are not 30 minutes

For what that is, and the fact that it's a factory porsche part, that is insanely cheap. Good luck finding a factory stereo head unit anywhere near this price from any luxury/performance brand in 2024.

This made me realize how much more I want a 997 now. I work for a dealer that has a branch with Porsche right next door and every time I walk in that show room, I just dream. I will have one someday. Such a clean and perfect build. That wheel fitment too 🤌🏼

Everything about this video was awesome and just felt really good to watch. The hype with Throtl helping out, the jokes between the guys, how everyone including meguiars came to support and work on the car, and to top it off, seeing the little one on one time with TJ and Kevin towards the end. One of the main reasons I still own my 997.1 C4S after 15 years is because of how good it still is. Even when comparing to the latest and greatest from Porsche. The new cars are so good, capable, and fast, that you almost have to be breaking every speed law to really start enjoying them. Whereas the older 997 generation feels exciting and fun when driving slow or fast. Congrats on all the mods Kevin. TJ, you are a class act and a very generous friend. Blessed so you can be a blessing to others. Keep up the great work. 👍🏼👍🏼

This is such a nice thing to do. My Uncle passed a little over a month ago. He has one of these sat in his garage thats hes had for many years and built and kept going with his own hands. Im currently assisting my Grandad with trying to sell his late brothers Porsche as unfortunately its not something we can afford to keep. Believe me, if I had the money I would love to be able to buy the car and keep it in the family but its just not something im in the position to do at my age. Its low milage and has a lot of potential, seeing this has opened my eyes to what could have been but thankyou for posting this car!

Honestly that head unit upgrade is one of the coolest things a manufacture has done in a long time.
The valvetronic exhaust setup just makes the car sound so good, with the valves closed it’s sounds like a ripper, open is a full track screaming machine. He’s going to get in trouble with that for sure.
Easily one of if not the top 10 Porsches I've seen being done. It's not immaculate and it doesn't need to be. It's not over the top. It's a pure driver's car. The passion and dedication to get this done for Kevin is nuts, and Kev, you DO deserve this. I can tell how much this meant to TJ to do this for you. It's perfect in my eyes. This video reignited a drive in me that was gone for a while, seeing all of team TJ and the guys over at Throtl come together to transform Kev's car was so cool.
