- After putting it off for a solid 2 months, here is my cosplay wig styling tutorial you all have been asking for! This Tutorial will show you the basics on creating voluminous and spiky wigs! If you have any questions about how I did something, comment below!

Geez this is a life saver! I just got my kirishima wig (literally just got it tonight) and went to style it, thinking I knew what I was doing. I didn’t. I was so lost. I just found this video and now I actually feel confident and that I’ll be able to make it look decent, thanks sm bro!!

#2 it went mediocre lmao-I defiantly needed to learn how to section off the hair first, and trim some of the chunks. I was still pretty overwhelmed and everything was too long so it looked a bit flat. The top was okay but the back was such a disaster :') That was two years ago now so hopefully the next time I cosplay i'll actually know what I'm doing!!

I have a chihiro wig-
I messed up badly since hhh (used to much hairspray and it looks messy and hard)
So I'm gonna have to brush it out then tease it again- (for another 3 hours yayyy)
But thank you since I have so many things to learn lol I'm planning to do Nagito for a con!

UPDATE: I have the nagito wig and it looks good! But I'll use the spiking technique rn!

This will definitely help me. Im new at styling. And my first actual wig i styled was for my Karin cosplay and it was a b****. But i actually managed to do it. I also used got2be and hair wax to do her decent spikes. I didn't use blow dryer cus i couldn't find it ugh. But came out nice. This video gave me few tips tho. 😊 i hope to see more tutorial videos.
I had the exact same problem with the exact same cosplay, the freaking spikes gave me nightmares... xD

Oh my gosh, you have no idea how much this helped me! I recently got a Kazuha wig for a convention and kept on messing up with the sides but the instructions on how to tease the wig made it look SO much better (I also had no idea about the spraying hairspray far away from the wig, and it looks so natural now)

Two things:
1- why do you have to use a hairdryer after the hairspray?
2- can you do this tutorial for longer wigs??? I don’t know how to do mine ._.

Skie’z Drawing yes, the heat from the dryer is what causes the fiber to become fluffy.
And yes, for long wigs brush it out with a round brush
UmbranWitch Is it safe to use hairspray on a wig? Cause what I’ve read online it says no but I’m guessing it’s okay as long as you wash it off? Idk I’m new to this sort of thing lol
@@valkyrieagainsttheworld you cannot style a wig without hairspray if you want the wig to keep it's new shape but if you wash your wig you will have to style it all over again obviously
SAY10 Ah I see. If you use the hairspray, is it okay to leave it on the wig or is it required to wash it after a while so it doesn’t I guess damage the wig?
🥀Valkyrie🥀 you cant use regular hairspray, because wigs are synthetic. You’ll have to use something like got2b glued.

oh my gosh, thank you so much for this! i came across your account and fell absolutely in love with how clean and beautiful your styled wigs are. i attempted to style spikes onto one of my wigs, and it ended up looking so gross, crispy and crunchy. i never knew that you had to tease a wig for speaks, or that you had to spray the hairspray from a distance and then blow dry it. thank you so much for this!! i hope after practice i’ll be able to style wigs as well as you someday (:

I’m styling a kokichi wig and this REALLY helped-
I'm going to school in cosplay with a friend. They recently bought a Tomura Shigaraki wig, and is cosplaying at the end of the week (It's monday 1/4/2021 right now) and they wanted me to join in too. I don't have many wigs, and the only one I can use is a short black one to which they brought up Dabi. I have NEVER spiked a wig before, and this really helps. Thank you so much

I have so much respect for Danganronpa cosplayers for managing to style those wigs 😭, I've ordered what's technically my first cosplay ever which is a madoka cosplay and i've been looking into every single wig styling tutorial i can and the wig isn't even here yet
One of my favorite masking techniques in hairdressing is taking a slice of smooth hair and lay it on top of your teased foundation, and sectioning is really important!

I want to cosplay as Nagito Komaeda from Danganronpa for Halloween next year and I wanted to find a cheaper and alternative way to style a wig, especially since his hair requires a bit of spiking in different areas but is it safe to use hairspray on a wig? I tried looking it up and it usually says it’s not but it’s okay to wash it after at least?
Jikook Fanatic Same! And I’m pretty sure it’s okay to use hairspray on a wig, at least for a cosplay wig. After all it’s what’s going to help keep it together.
As for washing it after, I suggest you put it in hot water with shampoo for a few hours, then rinse and dry it. Hope that helps

i have a kokichi wig that im still trying to make look good but whenever i brush out the side spikes they flaten? and when i dont brish it out its like crusty ish? im using got 2 be glued also.
I know it's been a year but I also cosplay Kokichi so I guess this tip might help. I took a hair curler and just rolled up the tips of the wig in it and hairsprayed it like crazy
I think that you’re laying into it to much spray it from far away
