I'm pretty sure we know now that it was Savathun who made the 15th wish, and it was much more powerful due to her death and how ahamkaras can use there power after death
The 15th wish showed up in the API in the same context as the 14th other wishes that guardians can make at the wish wall. Why would this 15th wish suddenly appear in the API long after the "last wish" was already made? There's no sense in that. It's only called the "last wish" because it is the only wish that isn't discovered. The fact that terminology happens to be the name of the raid itself causes people to assume the "last 15th wish" is riven's "last wish". Why would we input rivens last wish into the wish wall in the raid? lol
In regards to the 15th Wish simply being the Last Wish itself, there's actually a subtle detail in Riven's design, with her eyes forming the shape of an upside-down Roman numeral 15, XV, as if flipped on the x-axis of a graph, meaning it looks like XA minus the A's horizontal line
There is a theory that seems to me like the most plausible, but unconfirmed, that the 15th wish is for the team of 6 (the world first team) to defeat Riven - hence her eyes shine during the boss fight just like mentioned in lore books. And this wish actually grants her the power to grant Savathun's wish (which she literally calls the Last Wish).

He should've been given the title of "TAKEN" in the green/blight color of the taken faction. He followed the instructions of Savathun, so he basically did her bidding. He's one of her minions now :D. It was fun to chase really but I honestly did not expect anything to happen.I mean come on, every secret has been a secret in form of code, hidden symbols, sequences, sounds etc. Here comes, presumably a block of text with clear instructions and we all expect it to solve the mistery hunt that has been going on for a YEAR?. I wouldn't bet on it.
The recent leaks are saying next season will revisit the dreaming city and finish its story, with that in mind, season 15. Might have a finale to the hunt for the 15th wish
I have a feeling it’s gonna be this year, there’s a part of a certain trailer (I think season of the hunt) where we see a split second of darkness splinters in the dreaming city, and that hasn’t happened yet, so I think when the darkness goes there, it might happen

I always assumed that the 15th wish was our wish to defeat Riven. The wish that was hidden from us in plain sight, if only our ambition didn’t cloud our judgement
That makes sense.... Why remove content (the Ascendant Challenges, that 3 mission cycle, Shattered Throne etc) on a 3 year old location..... The Dreaming City will be rather barren and plain without the Taken corruption..... they'll just remove the whole place first...

I don’t have this privilege, but if someone has a solid raid group, could you possibly run through last wish, hear where all the chimes are and see if they correlate with the wish board in anyway? As in if the first time you hear it, it sounds X amount of times and that could link to first line of circles on the wish board? (Speculation)
@@Daarn1 I do have a group doing just that, we are just all busy so its kinda hard. Most of the chimes are in the first area before the first encounter, and we have those mapped out. there are chimes on the path to suro chi and one near morgeth as well. I suspect we havent found all of them yet.
As someone who played the entire life cycle of d1, and joined 2020 solstice for d2. Learning how the destiny community has evolved in all these years. I love these videos so much. Byf is for insane lore, Evan is for community lore. Love you my friend
Great job! Chronicler was one of the most fun seals to get. It was a lot of reading but it provided so much clarity within the Forsaken story and the dreaming city.
@@doc8732 I needed one last visit to the throne room to get the last lore entry before it was sunset. Extremely painful realizing that I wasn't going to get Chronicler even though the Dreaming City is still in the game.
Here's a thought, have we explored well enough Vault of Glass Raid? Considering that we are now doing new activities in the Dreaming City, wouldn't that bug be the last wish before the release of "The witch queen", it is just a thought.
I like to think that the 15th wish is the community’s desire or “wish” to find it. Think about it the 15th wish is pretty much a legend at this point. A legendary mystery filled with twists and turns that everyone that has played Destiny 2 shall cherish forever….

This wish is pretty much going to fullfill next season (S15), when Mara returns and ends the curse. The wish to end the curse and bring the dreaming city situation to a conclusion.
Of course. I'm not saying it WILL be next year, but season 15 can be a good end to the story. Like how the story for mars was over years before the planet was removed. We still have time for the dreaming city, but at least there will be less loose ends when it's gone.

You mean the enemies? I literally had someone get kicked out of my raid and he got banned from PlayStation after sending the fire team leader notes of "kys" and such, we knew he was banned as he apologized on his second account (in last wish)
I bet even if the final wish was found by random guessing into the wall, there may be some requirement or time gated by bungie until the player base truly found it. I would love it if it just said something like “you are not worthy of this wish” then crash your game.
The wall have 20 options to put around 320 different combinations wich you need like a minute to try all of them or more, it will take days or inclusive months without exiting the game to solve it
@@CapCody hey man. The math is wrong / not complete. There are 17 symbols (no symbol included) there are 20 places where you can put in the symbols. So that's mean 17^20. = 4 064 231 406 647 572 522 401 601 combinations. So it's impossible to try them out.

It's honestly the things like this that make me come back. The community events/secrets that happen. Things like the 7th chest to the original VoG, or the first secret mission to get Black Spindle, a literal geocache hunt during the Warmind dlc (don't expect to see those again), or the sheer clusterfuck (in a good way) of shit that happened after The Last Wish raid was beaten the first time. I'll get frustrated with the game, but still love when the community gets exciting. Despite the ups and downs of the game, I hope the community stays awesome.
I still to this day, believe that the 15th wish being “a wish to feed an addiction” is meant to be a long chase without an answer. The addiction that it feeds, is the addiction to finding new secrets in the game.
Excellent video. I think the 15th wish may of originally been the raid itself. I also think like you said that its popularity will lead to Bungie eventually reuse it. Seems like an OBVIOUS way for them to sunset the dreaming city
I've always maintained, especially with Quria being the final boss of Season 14, that Wish 15 is relevant to Season 15, where we take the fight to Savathun and use the Wish to break the Curse on the Dreaming City. This is especially relevant because, and please tell me if I'm wrong, Quria is the one powering the three week loop on the Dreaming City. If anything, the Curse loop on the Dreaming City was Quria's testbed for the Endless Night on the Last City. Proof of concept that the Taken Vex Mind was able to sustain a Simulation in real-time on a long-term basis.
I'm reminded of Rocket Sloth trying to find the significance in Halo ODST's Engineer writing. Hunting down symbols trying to make sense of them. Ultimately coming up with nothing, even with data-mining. Wait! Could it be...?

Arent they talking about vaulting forsaken content when witch queen comes out? If thats true then the 15th wish wouldnt have anything to do with it. We should know whats getting vaulted in the coming months so thatll tell us if that theory is worth thinking about.

I hope The Witch Queen DLC gives the Dreaming City some form of closure, either to its secrets, curse or anything really. Just not DCV kind of closure.
My theory: Wish 15 = season 15, theres an ahamkara egg in mara's chamber this season, maybe its under the egg, or maybe, inside the egg. just speculating.

I agree, forsaken not only was fantastic, but it was exactly what Destiny needed. Also remember that Forsaken had Activision money/backing/teams helping with it. With bungie going solo, who knows when that's possible.

lightfall is out and still no sign, a theory i have is that its to do with stars cus of the vault stuff (penumbra and antumbra) and that the other wishes that make the number 15 are in on it
I had a theory at the time: If you manipulate the camera in certain ways, you can see inside of NPC models. Back when Mara's throne room would appear every 3rd week, I kept looking inside her head. I really wish that turned out to be true, but I never saw anything.

Since Season of the Lost is here, can there be a chance Savathun is holding on to the 15th wish, last week she said "step on that line and look up". which there was no line or anything on the ceiling... maybe 1 week left she'll show the 15th.
Since Quria is behind the Endless night of the Last City, if we take her out next week then that could lead to affecting the Dreaming City and finally fixing it. It could also lead to Mara returning and having a moment with Crow meeting her. I’m just making an guess though but sounds right story-wise.
What if the oracles in last wish wasn’t an accident? Let me explain, having the sound of the oracles in last wish wouldn’t make any sense as they were in destiny because of whisper but it wouldn’t be included into last wish by accident just because of that. What if it was meant to link us to the vault of glass? My theory is sometime this season we will get the wish, either that or next season sometime. But this season has a lot of involvement with Savathun because of quaria the taken mind, or it may even have a involvement with the vault of glass itself in the current or “master” version which may be a taken version like the corrupted versions of the expunge missions

It might have been a bug. But, we do know that quoria manages the dreaming city curse for savathun. We are killing or capturing her this season. Vault came back this season. Fun coincidence? Maybe. Do i expect the 15th wish to be revealed after we kill Quoria anyway? Very much yes.
The oracles were definitely not a bug. When we first heard them, it was at the beginning of the raid, hitting the first load zone if I’m not mistaken(I could be, it’s been awhile). But later on in that season, you could start hearing the oracles in queens walk when you’re were inside of the heart. Idk if it’s still there, haven’t done LW in months
Has anybody ever checked Destiny 1 for this? I am thinking that this could be something that they put somewhere in D1 as a possibility to maybe do something with it, but never did. Maybe the whole thing is backwards and when they had build the raid they were like "Hey why don´t we use these plates we designed back in the day in d1 and fuck with people a little". It’s nearly gaurenteed, we saw Pyramids in hunt trailer, there’s 15 wishes, next season is season 15, SPOILERS: we know it’s about Mara Sov coming back and Savathun needing us and taken. While this season we finally get to meet Quria, the Taken Vex mind that literally created the the curse cycle.

I don't know where it is or when the 15th wish will be revealed, but I have hope. Truthfully, I want to kill Savathün a million times over just for making a book of lies and find the 15th wish, but I also want this mystery to continue. Idk what Bungie has in store for us in Witch Queen, but I have my One Thousand Voices loaded and ready to let out One Terrible Scream.
Now this is probably the longest shot, BUT could it be possible it is in Destiny, like the first one? The possibility is probably very very slim but I could see bungie have a small unnoticeable update, to add in the plate. Possibility have a bose or a lore book mention that the 15th wish is where it all started (D1)
Theory: when you finish the vex catalyst quest after killing a lot of oracles a portal opens that you can see through. Maybe the final wish can be seen in there?
That’s an Easter egg from the old whisper of the worm mission… in that mission you can trigger oracles from vog to spawn for a secret chest and there’s a portal where you stand… you can look through the portal and see the vault of glass jumping puzzle ( where you finish the catalyst) on the other side

You mean the enemies? I literally had someone get kicked out of my raid and he got banned from PlayStation after sending the fire team leader notes of "kys" and such, we knew he was banned as he apologized on his second account (in last wish)
I bet even if the final wish was found by random guessing into the wall, there may be some requirement or time gated by bungie until the player base truly found it. I would love it if it just said something like “you are not worthy of this wish” then crash your game.
I typed in the 15th wish and got blue screened 😂😂 I’d die seeing that happen to someone
The wall have 20 options to put around 320 different combinations wich you need like a minute to try all of them or more, it will take days or inclusive months without exiting the game to solve it
@@CapCody hey man. The math is wrong / not complete. There are 17 symbols (no symbol included) there are 20 places where you can put in the symbols. So that's mean 17^20. = 4 064 231 406 647 572 522 401 601 combinations. So it's impossible to try them out.

It's honestly the things like this that make me come back. The community events/secrets that happen. Things like the 7th chest to the original VoG, or the first secret mission to get Black Spindle, a literal geocache hunt during the Warmind dlc (don't expect to see those again), or the sheer clusterfuck (in a good way) of shit that happened after The Last Wish raid was beaten the first time. I'll get frustrated with the game, but still love when the community gets exciting. Despite the ups and downs of the game, I hope the community stays awesome.
I still to this day, believe that the 15th wish being “a wish to feed an addiction” is meant to be a long chase without an answer. The addiction that it feeds, is the addiction to finding new secrets in the game.

I've always maintained, especially with Quria being the final boss of Season 14, that Wish 15 is relevant to Season 15, where we take the fight to Savathun and use the Wish to break the Curse on the Dreaming City.
This is especially relevant because, and please tell me if I'm wrong, Quria is the one powering the three week loop on the Dreaming City. If anything, the Curse loop on the Dreaming City was Quria's testbed for the Endless Night on the Last City. Proof of concept that the Taken Vex Mind was able to sustain a Simulation in real-time on a long-term basis.
I'm reminded of Rocket Sloth trying to find the significance in Halo ODST's Engineer writing. Hunting down symbols trying to make sense of them. Ultimately coming up with nothing, even with data-mining. Wait! Could it be...?

I hope The Witch Queen DLC gives the Dreaming City some form of closure, either to its secrets, curse or anything really. Just not DCV kind of closure.
When Mara Sov comes back,, she’ll have the 15th wish to lift the curse.
My theory: Wish 15 = season 15, theres an ahamkara egg in mara's chamber this season, maybe its under the egg, or maybe, inside the egg. just speculating.

I am BEGGING bungie to create another expansion like Forsaken, that era was incredible. Forsaken is not only peak destiny content, Forsaken is peak Gaming content!

I still think that the crew working on beyond light was a smaller one and that the rest of the employees at bungie were trying to make witch queen, lightfall and the unnamed dlc after lightfall just as good if not better than forsaken
I agree, forsaken not only was fantastic, but it was exactly what Destiny needed. Also remember that Forsaken had Activision money/backing/teams helping with it. With bungie going solo, who knows when that's possible.

lightfall is out and still no sign, a theory i have is that its to do with stars cus of the vault stuff (penumbra and antumbra) and that the other wishes that make the number 15 are in on it
I had a theory at the time: If you manipulate the camera in certain ways, you can see inside of NPC models. Back when Mara's throne room would appear every 3rd week, I kept looking inside her head. I really wish that turned out to be true, but I never saw anything.
Is it wrong to say that since quria is behind the dreaming city cycle when we deal with her later this season to look for any plates there?

Taken king and forsaken were some of the most fun and best memories I’ve had in destiny, especially forsaken, I can proudly say I ran all legit rivens until I got my rivensbane

Since Season of the Lost is here, can there be a chance Savathun is holding on to the 15th wish, last week she said "step on that line and look up". which there was no line or anything on the ceiling... maybe 1 week left she'll show the 15th.
Since Quria is behind the Endless night of the Last City, if we take her out next week then that could lead to affecting the Dreaming City and finally fixing it. It could also lead to Mara returning and having a moment with Crow meeting her. I’m just making an guess though but sounds right story-wise.

What if the oracles in last wish wasn’t an accident? Let me explain, having the sound of the oracles in last wish wouldn’t make any sense as they were in destiny because of whisper but it wouldn’t be included into last wish by accident just because of that. What if it was meant to link us to the vault of glass? My theory is sometime this season we will get the wish, either that or next season sometime. But this season has a lot of involvement with Savathun because of quaria the taken mind, or it may even have a involvement with the vault of glass itself in the current or “master” version which may be a taken version like the corrupted versions of the expunge missions
As for the Oracle in in the Dreaming City, it could literally be a bug. The game is accessing the wrong memory location of a sound.
@@kidoliva that is quite likely my point was that it’s in two separate files (at least that’d be my guess) so it’s not too likely that two different audio files from different game/dlc files would cross over. It might have been a bug. But, we do know that quoria manages the dreaming city curse for savathun. We are killing or capturing her this season.

The oracles were definitely not a bug. When we first heard them, it was at the beginning of the raid, hitting the first load zone if I’m not mistaken(I could be, it’s been awhile). But later on in that season, you could start hearing the oracles in queens walk when you’re were inside of the heart. Idk if it’s still there, haven’t done LW in months

Has anybody ever checked Destiny 1 for this? I am thinking that this could be something that they put somewhere in D1 as a possibility to maybe do something with it, but never did. Maybe the whole thing is backwards and when they had build the raid they were like "Hey why don´t we use these plates we designed back in the day in d1 and fuck with people a little". So has anybody checked d1 for it?

It’s nearly gaurenteed, we saw Pyramids in hunt trailer, there’s 15 wishes, next season is season 15, SPOILERS: we know it’s about Mara Sov coming back and Savathun needing us and taken. While this season we finally get to meet Quria, the Taken Vex mind that literally created the the curse cycle.

It took 5 YEARS FOR THIS TO BE ANSWERED, FIVE YEARS GAD DAMMIT, I really hope its even remotely worth it.
I don't know where it is or when the 15th wish will be revealed, but I have hope. Truthfully, I want to kill Savathün a million times over just for making a book of lies and find the 15th wish, but I also want this mystery to continue. Idk what Bungie has in store for us in Witch Queen, but I have my One Thousand Voices loaded and ready to let out One Terrible Scream.
Now this is probably the longest shot, BUT could it be possible it is in Destiny, like the first one? The possibility is probably very very slim but I could see bungie have a small unnoticeable update, to add in the plate.

Theory: when you finish the vex catalyst quest after killing a lot of oracles a portal opens that you can see through. Maybe the final wish can be seen in there?
That’s an Easter egg from the old whisper of the worm mission… in that mission you can trigger oracles from vog to spawn for a secret chest and there’s a portal where you stand… you can look through the portal and see the vault of glass jumping puzzle ( where you finish the catalyst) on the other side
