I'm pretty sure that all your dimensions should be cm, not in. For example, the base board you say is 30x20 inches, looks like 12" x 8", ie 30x20 cm. Same goes for all other dimensions. FYI, lens focal length (fl) are usually specified, in mm, not power. The objective of 40x is 6.3mm fl and the eye lens of 10x is 25mm fl. This gives 400x, a bit on the high side for such simple optics. I would suggest starting with 100x or 200x (objective fl of 25 or 12.5mm, respectively). Lenses can be obtained from Surplus Shed or other surplus sources.

What are the focal lengths of the two lenses
40x equals 0.25 inch, or 6.3mm. 10x equals 1", or 25mm. Surplus Shed is a good source.

what is meant by objective lens and eyepiece lens
objective lens is a smaller length in terms of focal length and apparature which is placed closer to the object hence the name. eyepiece lens is larger and is closer to the eye through which we view the cells

It can't, the most you can see if you can see anything is the texture of the leaf plus the lens is to big to see bacteria , it would be like looking at a leaf with your phone camera
Bacterias can be only viewed in electronic microscopes
It depends on the particular species of bacterium. Either way, the footage he used for the bacteria was stolen from sci-inspi. Furthermore, this is 100%, not the strongest homemade microscope.

The was blurry because of length between eyepiece lens and objective lens .
The length should be 6.3 inches.

It is the magnification is only 4-5 times , if you take only objective lens , in simple term it's just a magnifying glass , but adding eye piece increase magnification to 100x-400x easily

If you cannot find the lens only, maybe you can buy one that is used in professional microscopes. It will come in a cylinder instead of the lens only, but it should still work for this project
