      The container was just not to make a mess during the video. Right after it was filmed it was dumped down the drain never to be seen again.

      Supersaturated solution. Providing nucleation points allows crystallisation. This also releases quite a bit of heat and is used in hand warmers.

    Add baking soda and vinegar, let it sit, than add a little water, than heat on low until it is clear, fill a glass of it, let it cool, than stick stuff in it.

    I have been doing the sodium acetate trick for 30 years. Incidentally, the crystallization is very exothermic -DON'T hold the glass during the process! Also, while you should use pure solute, it cannot be anhydrous. So long as you reheat it to liquid every time, it can be used over and over and over..... Of the sanitizer, I just use plain old rubbing alcohol (either 70% or 91%; 70% produces a cooler and more invisible flame due to the higher H2O). The flame is almost -but not quite -cool enough not to burn you. Of the balloon with water inside, I have never seen it before, but it makes complete sense. I'll have to try it.
