Dr. Lori, Could I ask how to estimate manufacturing date to English porcelains based which only had the diamond mark to be identified its registration date? I understand that It could be made before or after registration date. Could you give a range of period as estimate about its manufacturing date (e.g. registration mark shows it was registered in 1861.12.01)?
I believe I have a Lefton ceramic teapot. The mark on bottom is K-376. It may have had a gold sticker at one time. The ceramic is cream to light green with large mum roses. It is about 7” tall and gold trimmed edges and handle. I cannot find out if Lefton ever put just the number on their China. Anyone have advice? I have Lefton saucers and tea cups bought separately that match nicely.
I have some unmarked Tea cups. I think they must not be very valuable if they didnt mark it. But I guess I should look into it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi dr. Lori..do you have any info/video on marks on satsuma ware? I have some with mark and a small urn with no marks just a hand carved number or something..trying to find info on net, but difficult
Hi Ellen, there's no need for this to be difficult :) I can review your piece to end your research using my Ph.D. I look at pieces at my events, during FaceTime/Skype calls and even from photos.
Yes I saw that on your website, I'm just afraid it's not worth 59 with exchange LOL.@@DrLoriVI'm in Canada so can't make it to any shows. Wish I could. If it's not worth $59, I tell you at no charge. Of course, my appraisals are much more than a value as I identify and provide information about the piece. I travel all over and have presented to Canadian audiences. My FaceTime/Skype calls are only $49 usd and we can "meet" face to face too :)
