If you have a platinum there is no rewiring to add the center high mount camera. You just have to disconnect the plug and plug the new one in and some forscan changes. The plug is a little pain to reach but it's not that bad. Altogether the worst part of it was figuring out what to change in forscan.
Yes, I found this out and have already added it back. I also added back the heated steering wheel and the HVAC controls that have the temperature display on them.

I wish my husband would not like Chevy trucks. I like this so much better. There should be a switch to turn off that 👉🏽stop start engine ….at the lights and fast food. I have a 2021 Q3 and I can turn it off when I want. There’s usually a flip button or a switch to turn that off. Love the truck love the color I’ll give you my address for my driveway ha ha ha ha ha ha
Thanks. Yeah I installed a start stop eliminator on the truck in another video. Hey I don’t like washing my vehicles, def don’t want to wash someone else’s. lol
There’s no setting for it in this truck. I tried in for scan to disable it but that leaves the battery warning light on on the dash and I’m team no warning lights so that’s not going to work. Really it is to get one of those start disable devices that plugs in behind the switch that just turns it off whenever you start the car. The runningboards are still out because I have them on extended deploy or I just had them set out because I was washing the truck. I can’t remember which one but I do have them on extended deploy which means they stay out for nearly a minute before they go back under the truck unless you start driving.
@@KnightsGarage also remember if the truck ever goes to "battery saving mode" or you change the battery it will automatically turn off the running boards.
I'd like to add the heated steering wheel back too, to my platinum. One day maybe. Mine did come with the truck bed camera though. Glad for that.

You can disable Start/stop in the vehicle settings. I can on my '18. Why are the running boards extended with the doors closed?
