Sounds good in concept, but yeah it totally would’ve thrown the universe out of whack. It would mean that another 10-20 years pass and Richonne would still be missing (along with Daryl who went to look for them), that would make me so sad 💀 Plus its weird to think that in that timeline most of the characters would be pushing anywhere between 50 and 70 if they appeared onscreen again.
Very thankful for what we got instead, crazy to think we genuinely did almost not have Rick and Michonne in the finale 😅

Wait.. that mean Michonne/Rick & Daryl won't come back..
Because of the way we all have hopes to see Daryl fulfill his promise to Judith & Carol (to come back).
Even the fact that Rick isn't show in the world beyond & the tales of the walking dead timelapse he isn't mentioned..
If they wanted to record this, that mean the showrunner knew for a long time (at least the time to even think about the spin-off) that.
The question is why they won't come back AT LEAST for more then 10 years.
OR somes will come back but then will need to moove elsewhere?
MAYBE WE'LL HAVE A CHINA WAR.
Or maybe i need to shut the fk up. 😐

      @jjkilhij9531 Год назад

@@dakotaslone1773 (late response from me, but I wanted to comment lol) The thing is, this ending here implies that the person on the radio is Rick, meaning that he hadn’t gotten home yet. And if it were the case that he was back, there would be very little incentive to check out the spinoffs knowing he and Michonne are completely fine in the future 😅

I think the reason people like the idea of this ending is BECAUSE it throws the spin offs out the window, not in spite of it. Some people feel somewhat betrayed (again) by AMC and the show runners for failing to resolve the stories of the characters we have been watching for over a decade now in favor of generating more cash with a(nother) million spin offs. Just the same as when they moved to a 16 episode format back in the day (or however many episodes it was) and half of them ended up being filler rather than the high quality, consistently moving drama we got in the first few seasons, forcing us to watch countless hours of rehashed mental breakdowns and literal walking just to see what happens. Same as the giant cliffhanger at the end of the season where Negan was introduced. All of that incredible tension built up over the course of an amazing and highly anticipated episode could have come to a fantastic resolution there and then by killing at least one of the victims, followed by an amazing twist at the start of the following season by then killing off Glen minutes into the season. But no, in favor of guaranteeing views at the start of the following season, they let all of that tension and momentum fizzle out for 6 months and left the viewer-base incredibly frustrated despite the fact they had sat through yet another half-season of slow, monotonous trash in anticipation of that moment. AMC killed the walking dead. They took a show that started off with the potential to rival the likes of breaking bad, maybe even compete with game of thrones, and turned it into trash tv. Now they scorn the remaining fan base with a no-resolution ending, and insist they watch not 1, not 2, but 3 more spin offs to know what finally happens to the cast. They will bleed this fantastic show dry to the point that they are literally losing money producing it because eventually even the most die-hard fanatics get sick and tired of it. This is the sad reality of art being treated as a product. Oh what could have been!

      Perfectly said!!
Watching the show live was BRuuuutal for after like around season 8 for me, I binge watched the seasons leading up to the finale and was glued to the screen all the way up to terminus and somewhat up to Negan... man that 1st 2 seasons is nostalgic....some moments here or there would be cool but,
The rest of the series was just background noise while cleaning the house LOL.

A lot of people don't seem to understand the "spin offs" are not really that. They are just the same series under different names. I imagine the only reason TWD as a name didn't continue is 1) many core characters will no longer be around and 2) splitting the story several ways would make it rough to follow. Kind of like the post-prison arc to terminus until they inevitably cross over. I still believe we will get one final "spin off" series to tie everything together called like "The Walking Dead: The Final Chapters" that will act as like the final couple seasons. Rather than TWD being over, it is being split into three segments to flesh stuff out more before (potentially) reforming into a "final" evolution for a true series finale. It was a "series" finale for the original show name "The Walking Dead" but we are still a fair bit off from the true series finale, or narrative finale if you rather.

Nobody is just surviving out there anymore, hell the existence of random "survivors" 10 years in that we saw in S10 in the and 11 was already pushing it but 20 years no fam, that is just dumb!

I mean they could still have done this and it wouldn't have taken away from the spinoffs at all, like its 15 YEARS thats a long ass time. It would still make sense, just cause they ended the show with the adult kids doesn't mean that everything that happened in the spinoffs didn't happen, Dead City, Rick and Michonne, Daryl Dixon could've still happened just in those 15 years and whos to say that Rick and Michonne aren't home in Alexandria with Maggie, Hershel, Negan, his wife and kid and Daryl could've come back from France in those 15 years as well, like just cause they wouldn't have shown it in the final shot of the show. And also just cause Hershel isn't with the other kids doesn't mean he is dead. In the comics Hershel has a traveling circus with walkers in a cage when he is grown up so maybe he is doing that in the Commonwealth? I think this ending that they scrapped would be better because it would feel like an ACTUAL ending instead of what we got now, the "yes this show is done but here is 3 more spinoffs that we are doing watch those instead" ending. The ending we got didn't feel like an ending imo.

The ending would still work for the series later down the line. Also why does RJ Grimes look like someone in his thirties nearing his forties as opposed to someone i his early twenties? Lastly this ending wouldn't be the first time they spoilt the fates of certain character in the show if the Spinoffs existed as well. They literally jus did that by announcing the spinoffs before the end of the show spoiling the fates and ruining the tension for characters like Maggie, Negan and Daryl.
I still think this ending would have worked. It wouldn't have ruined these kids fates if they didn't make a show about them before or during the Maggie, Negan ,Daryl, Michonne and Daryl Dixon Spinoff. These spinoff characters could still be alive by this point and these characters all grown up could still die if they made a series about them. Just not before they had finished the Spinoffs to reiterate. AMC's creatives are so dumb it's unreal.
So your points also makes no sense stupid. You should go work for AMC.

If anything we shouldn't have had a flash Forward we should have had a flashback and seen something that we haven't seen before
    You know before the fall
