    Project settings > midi > chase checking the Notes box might help with initial notes getting cut off.

    Thank you so much. Was going crazy. All it took was to tick a box in rec pref. Should be activated by default.

    Many thanks man. I was searching a solution (how to) about this for a very long time. Other videos I saw were showing some complex routings using MIDI Config Mac software. It never worked correctly. So now I have the right solution to use my Komplete keyboard, my ROLI Seaboard Block and my Korg Wave State all together assigned to their respective channel.

    Suprised you keep the MIDI data reduction setting on, I guess it doesn't really make anything different just didn't seem like a good thing to me when I looked at it a while back

    But how do I control two software instruments at the same time with ONE midi controller? Like, I want to play two synthesizers with one midi controller.

    I have a Roland Integra 7 running with Logic Pro X. I can see the signals on all of my midi channels when I utilize my midi controller, but there is no sound coming from my monitors. What am I doing wrong?

    Which version of Logic Pro did you use in this video?!

  • @ZenMountain
    @ZenMountain 3 года назад +1

    Thanks for your video. I come from working on Ableton Live, and I only have one question: Where on earth is the MIDI Input port selection for each track on LOGIC??? I have a lot of synths, some with keyboards some without. I want o just use a specific keyboard on a synth to control whatever other synth or plugin I want. I don't understand why do I have to mess with MIDI channels on each keyboard if they are all connected via USB on a different port? On Ableton you just select the keyboard you want on MIDI input for each track. Is there nothing like this on Logic Pro? Thanks!!

      I'm glad to hear someone else say what I've been thinking. I want to use Logic Pro, but coming from Ableton Live, or PreSonus Studio One, this should be a lot easier than it is.

    I love logic but this is so complicated. It’s so easy In ableton. Just a checkbox away for each track

      I started with Logic and moved to Ableton when my old MacBook pro failed on me.
      I still prefer Logic but i am with you , on this issue _ with Ableton it is SO easy to define the Midi routing..

    The MIDI region for all three tracks are labelled as Bluebird. I thought they would be automatically labelled as the track name. Is that a Logic bug?

    A simple butimportant question...What IOS is currently running into your Computer?....Catalina?.... I am asking because I have an M-Audio 49 Oxigen midi controller stuck on Mojave because I´m afraid to upgrade to Catalina and get malfunction or even worse, not working. So, ¿something to advice about it before running more than one controller in Logic ? (Thanks for your amazing videos!!!)

    Hi, I don't write in English, this is translation from google translate; This video has caught my attention for two things, the first: I don't know how you do to have the led or green light on each track, next to the R to record; the other: if you don't have a branded midi controller, you can't allocate the midi channel, I have two usb interfaces and cannot allocate in any way, it's a complication. Thanks if there is any answer. All the best.

    Hey Chris - thanks for all these videos. I have a question please. “Drummer” is great but if you have a specific beat/grove in mind, I can’t replicate it. I’ve tried programming some midi drums then getting Drummer to follow it, but still can’t control it to what I want. I’ve adjusted all possible adjustments. If you can advise, I’d be very grateful 🙏

    i have live as well. each track has an input device drop down and a midi channel which is alot easier So its not midi channel specific.
    I believe to do this in Logic you have to muck about with the environment somehow.
    Do you have a lesson on that?
    cheers

    I’m a bit confused. If I have for example Roland Fantom as a controller for several external synths, how do I then connect all of them into the Logic via the Fantom , and assign specific midi channel for each?

    • @johnpaulirvine5845
      @johnpaulirvine5845 Год назад

      I guess you set up different MIDI channels in the Fantom that are associated with the exact same MIDI channels within your external synths.
