I definitely understand it more as an adult. But as a kid, Duke was just the guy that starts schools snd knows a bunch of languages. Flint was WAY cooler 😁 Also, Top Gun, Maverick was such a fun flick!
Duke will always have a special place in my heart. I remember mailing away for him as a kid. And how happy I was and how awesome I thought he was when I finally received him. Now you know. And knowing is half the battle.

good review bro ha, ha, you brought back memories, a friend complained about Duke 84 smiling, even under torture! I agreed that his face did nt fit all occasions, D this one has a more flexible expression, an improvement no doubt. I built a Cobra ancient ruin fighting arena, as in the MASS story - cartoon, so I had to get Duke, as close version as in the cartoon, and this is it... and yeah, he s good, articulated, no problem posing him vs big boa on the fighting stage. and he still looks incredibly good after 40 years those early designs aged so well, it s baffling. the arena dio can take about 30 - 40 figs centre section, facing Cobra Commander s throne, the wall is about 20' 3 figs high to prevent escape, 2 traps hidden in the floor, and plenty of vines [green rope] to entangle figs, or to grip in fights, under the spectators s stands,, there is Dr mindbender s bio lab for experiments. the dio is about 50% done, only the lab needs serious work, the ancient ruin arena and fighting stage are almost done. figs are half the fun for me, dios are the other part, I have 4 dios, about 80 figs, and most can be exposed, as my dio fig capacity is about 70. the rest stay in box to save on dusting and keeping value. I rotate figs - action weekly. it s art nouveau deco, I love it! 1 ancient ruins Indy - ark [60%] 5 - 8 figs cap 2 Cobra base storage bay with ceiling crane [70%] 5 - 8 fig cap 3 urban building, 2 levels + front street [100%] 20 - 30 fig cap 4 Cobra fighting arena + lab [50%] 30 - 40 figs cap so now you know... good show bro
Yeah, I tend to like the earlier designs more because of the simplicity. Still want updates, but minus complex design. And yeah, the stinkin’ Duke is so good, I ALMOST had to stop ripping on the character. Your dios sound INSANELY cool! Do you have pics of them anywhere? How long have you been making them? I also like that you rotate your figures in and out. Keeps the look fresh and the figures in your mind. And hey, thanks a ton for the comment! I’m glad ya dug the video 😃
@@Toypixx because only one is 100% and undone interior, and had a hacker on facebook in my account, I have no pics yet. but with some help, I could probably post it on my channel here. if I do that, and get comfortable... I d probably head for 'what ifs' montages clips of pics + music what if iron man took on Cobra what if Modok got control of Cobra what if Cobra had control over the Hulk ect, no text or voices, just music and pics there are ways to use my 4 dios in complement like a tv show that only has 4 sets - scenes. you can live with limitations and still imagine ways I started early fall, when I got the ark, got inspired I only had 2 small basic scenes then, but my urban dio, the 3rd, encouraged me a lot, it turned out close to expert looking, while being my 1 rst construction, the others were just an assembly of props together. I worked them too by now they re the 5 - 8 fig capacity ones, urban takes 20 - 30 big, and arena 30 - 40 very big. yeah, you make a cool channel ; I ll be back... thanks bro

I think that's pretty close to what I'm saying. Gotta say, though, I think Legends is stepping it up. Once they replace the waist cuts with ball peg waists, I'll probably get back into that line
I prefer the ball/hinge in the neck. The newer joes can't look up well so placing figures in a prone firing position doesn't work.
I get that. I think I’m spoiled with MAFEX, just because they execute their necks so well, and these are more like those…just executed a bit worse
