Lyrics:
I feel so bad I've got a worried mind
I'm so lonesome all the time
Since I left my baby behind on Blue Bayou
Saving nickels, saving dimes, working 'till the sun don't shine
Looking forward to happier times on Blue Bayou
I'm going back some day come what may to Blue Bayou
Where you sleep all day and the catfish play on Blue Bayou
All those fishing boats with their sails afloat If I could only see
That familiar sunrise through sleepy eyes, how happy I'd be
Go to see my baby again
And to be with some of my friends
Maybe I'd be happy then on Blue Bayou
grew up listening to both Elvis and Roy. Just my opinion, but Roy was, at the very least, equal to Elvis. Saw the Big E in Vegas in '71. Great but not humble. Roy was great, a true legend; plus always humble and honest.
He owns this song...............
SOY MUJER Y TE AGRADEZCO TU COMENTARIO, GRACIAS A RUclips SE HACE POSIBLE ESTE MILAGRO DE VOLVER A ESCUCHAR ESTOS INOLVIDABLES TEMAS.TE ENVIO TAMBIEN UN CALIDO SALUDO. KATHY.
Luis
Roy was an amazing perfomer, George Harrison was a big admirer of his.
Chocolatey!! That's what Roy Obison's voice sounds like!!
Super schön gesungen
Thank you very much.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤❤
I was lucky enough to see Roy in concert in Manchester in May 1963. He was top of the bill and his supporting act were the Beatles!
I id ever see Roy, but I consider him to be an amazing performer, as you probably already know, George Harrison expressed admiration for Roy. (I did see the Beatles in 1965.
love this song roy rocks rip roy takecare all elvis once called royorbison the greatest singer in the world
The original is so awesome! Heard the song a billion times, but seeing the creator singing it, so awesome!
NEVER BE ANOTHER.. HE WAS GREAT ...................R,IP..... AMEN !
The old magic shining through. What a genius.
How can 480 people not like this? ARE YOU DEAF?
They have no heart

I am 73 yes still love the man
39 year old in 2019 was brought up with Roy & Elvis. The big O wins hands down! In dreams possibly my favourite ever song. Just saying!
Elvis was right... unique, incomparable, beautiful voice, perfect phrasing, timing, shifts in tone and feeling... just amazing.
Roy Orbison?
Of course @@ashleypaul6326
_SABES PORQUE LO ERES, PORQUE DIOS TE QUIERE MAS QUE A LOS DEMAS_
I have the original Monument 45 Oh Pretty Woman I bought in Chicago in 1964, I was 15 then, still have it and treasure it like gold. The flip side is a beautiful ballad most people never heard, called Yo Te Amo Maria, find it somewhere and play it, that song shows the true Roy Orbison and his love of singing!
I listened to Roy Orbison as a young girl with my dad..my dad couldn't carry a tune but we still sang..going on 2 years since he's passed on and I'm still listening to the same music my dad and I lustevned to..it brings me healing :')
There will never be another singer like Roy Orbison. He is one of a kind.
Check out Tim Darcy
roy sings like no one can
I still have the souvenir book that I purchased that night.
When I was a young lad in Brentwood. A buddy and I would on Saturday morning, hop on our Schwinns and ride out 20 miles to Babler Park. They had a building that had a juke box. I would put my nickel in it and play this song over and over as I ate my lunch...Deviled Ham...the 50's...just my rambling ignore me.
The good old days! Haha Ty
I get it, loud and clear.
Absolutely and utterly incredibly knockout. He was really really awesome and amazing. How anyone can dare to give this legendary star ⭐️ a thumbs down, are obviously tone deaf. Thank you so much.
Love Roy Orbison and all of his music!!! ......Loved his voice!!!!
One of the greatest singers to ever stand on a stage. What a voice.
Absolutely ....hands down!
I'm 19, raised on rock , and I've recently fell in love with this man, I fall asleep to him, every night, not because he bores me, but because he is everything, my favourite vocalist of all time.
I'm 75 and was raised on his music. I also feel the music died when a lot of these types of recorders stopped singing.
When Richie Valens, The Big Bopper and Buddy Holly died, that's when this kind of music truly died!
Yes..He speaks to so many souls.. followed him from when I was about 20..now at 74 He can still sing me to sleep..or bring on calm!
Good to know there are youngsters with taste and class.
Welcome to the Club. Coolest Singer EVER!! MY Uncle Ray introduced me back in 82
Elvis Presley even said the big O was the best singer he ever heard.!!!
He was a quiet gentleman who had such an unusual beautiful voice rest in peace God keep you in his Loving arms you were truly a gift from him
I think it was either Tom Waits or Jim Jarmusch who described Orbison's voice emanating from a radio back in the day as otherwordly. Couldn't agree more, and altho I like Linda's arrangement better, what Roy does at 47 seconds and again at 1 minute 40 seconds attests to his genius.
Plus it doesn't hurt to be an American legend.
I'm going back someday
The most unlikely romantic -- Roy was one of the best songwriters ever. His songs
tugged at your heartstrings and his mellifluous voice made his songs all the better.
A beautiful man who suffered untold tragedy in his life. I was hooked the first time
I heard him sing -- "Only the Lonely." There was always a sadness that pervaded
his wonderful songs, many that were co-written with Joe Melson.
My favorite Roy Orbison song. What a voice!!!!! Linda did a great job of it also!!!!
Úžasný hlas,.❤
En av de mest kända och älskade musiker som har funnits
Not another voice like his. It was a gift.
I spent twenty years in West Texas. Always went to his hometown of Wink, Texas where I had business. And went to most of the yearly celebrations for the great music he left with us.......What a great musician. I always thought he was blind, but if you read his biography, he just lost his favorite pair of sunglasses and tried on some dark ones, and that stuck.
I absolutely adore Roy Orbison and his music.
There is not another one ❤😂
Roy had the most beautiful voice. Crying makes me tear up every time. The Traveling Wilburys were an unbelievable supergroup.
I love how Roy Orbison put so much Passion in his music, he wasn't singing he was moving us all
Roy was so lonely, his songs resonated the depth of his loneliness. Its hard being the the best.
An incredibly tragic life and a very difficult road to success. The songs are so heartfelt they defy critique. All-time great.
Rob Sharp an incredibly fulfilled life, don't mistake his songs for real life. Orbison was someone they could not ignore
great to hear that Bill but undeniable that he had tragedy in his life that very few in the western world will have.
Not Giving A Single FᴜckN
Rob, I suffered that loss a year and a half ago. There really aren't any words to describe it. Accidentally, I found Roy's music again and it has been a real comfort. He is such a sweet and gentle soul just like my Shawn.
Roy's voice was a gift from heaven to
mankind. No other singer can induce
tears from most listeners. His talent
was incomparable and majestic. His
songs and music will be a treasure for
all of us throughout the future years. No
one will ever forget his magic!
Mein innigsten Wunsch ist ein mal im Leben treffen so ein Mann, der wird so viel Gefühl in Stimme haben, wie der wunderbare Sänger.
Obison's songs will live on forever, awesome!
What a voice, what a range, what a song.......10 out of 10
Yeah, I've cleared my local Starbucks with my versions of this and "Only the Lonely". These songs are a total roller coaster ride - although my cats are no great fans.
I read somewhere that his natural range was so profound he was considered both a full natural baritone and a full natural tenor.
No me canso de oir Roy Orbison.
No effort, " his voice, just flows. 💃💞
One of the Greatest Singers 🙌
❤ him
Simply amazing. I had no idea he was the songwriter
Pretty woman is a Roy Orbison song too
My favourite Roy Orbison song, lovely lyrics.
We live a world where 480 people dislike this, speechless
God Bless, Roy Orbison!!!
Who would be stupid enough to give this a thumbs down??!!! No taste......The man was brilliant.
The greatest singer ever
For many years the Big O was #1 for me. I've now put him at #2.
Out this world, one in a billion, just like Elvis.....
The song: subtle and beautiful. The man: a marvel.
this song from 1963 is one of the most emotional and beautiful ever written and fone to perfection by the great Roy Orbison
I really agree..the best country rock singer in the world and the only one I really love. Again I say....how can there be ANY DISLIKES..(454).
この曲は労働者の哀しみを現している😢 良い曲ですね🎶💓😃
His voice, so perfect and seemingly effortless. I miss him so much!
I don't know how he did it?
I vaguely remember as a kid learning of his death. And his absolutely tragic life ... and a fire that killed his loved ones. His voice and genuine emotion is talent is unreal ... not like the garbage today. Rip
I live in Vernon, and sodas Roy Orbison!!!
This is a very good song 👌 perfect for me ❤️
He didn't always wear dark glasses. The story he told was that he accidentally forgot his 'regular' ones on the plane, and in order to actually be able to see he wore his prescription lenses. He got a lot of publicity for it, and decided to 'keep it in the mix.' He was NOT blind.
This video should have 100000000000 views.... he is just standing there yet I'm enchanted! UGH this song is beautiful.
I saw him live just a while before he passed on. I'll never forget.
I knew about him & was working in a restaurant as a dish washer when one of the chef's reintroduced him to me when he was a member of The Traveling Wilburys
@@timobrien8809 Happy times for Roy, even though he had such little time left. He was thrilled to be part of that 'gang' - whilst 2 or 3 of them were still in awe of his voice. I nice time to have caught him - and really chuffed for you.
I ENVY YOU
Wow. What an honor.
Precious memories
RIP Roy, you left us but your music will live forever.
J ❤, quelle merveille que de l ecouter avant de m endormir....

Ronstadt rode this song, especially live, into a very sensual sad place - and introduced many of us to Orbison. He was a treasure and so was she. Southwest souls -

This brilliant song reveals the sadness in Roy Orbison it was the double A side in 1963 of Mean Woman Blues. Roy is truly one of greatest of all time, brilliant song writer and musican This beautiful song brings tears to my eyes
mid to late 60s where the best ...
I like this version - he reharmonises this with a couple of little extra minor chords.
What a wonderous period of music, 50's to 80's.......what a privilege to have lived through those decades......keep the last 20 odd years of music, bring back real music and real artists
Elvis Presley cLellalled Roy the Greeatest singer in the World!

1955 high school grad... lived this music. elvis, roy, johnny mathis, marty robbins, tony bennet, pat boone, bobby darin, neil diamond and many and many more AND ALL WERE GREAT.
That is an amazing roster of musicians!
In 1959 our favorite hang out was the local juke box, 6 pence a song. A coke was also 6 pence. We played them all till midnight on Fridays and Saturday. What a time.
A golden age for youth, before Vietnam and drugs.
most were great. i can't stand johnny mathis.
I'm so jealous ...
