Sofronio made the song to have modern and contemporary appeal and much relatable to the new generations, it's like he bridges the two distant continents, by his rendition he connects the two very distant genre and generations. I hope you are all coping the best you can and you and your relative are still enjoying moments like that together. I was listening to this the other day and thought it is really timeless like a lot of Roy's work, I think dementia is timeless in a way. It is such a powerful and emotional song, i wonder if that has any relevance.
I remember my mom singing this when I was a kid. She passed away in 2015. What an incredibly moving and legendary song. Sofronio's interpretation in The Voice is one heck of a tribute, and an excellent choice for his powerful voice.
This is really a Lovely song that became one of the hit songs in the 60's and Sofronio gave justice to interpret this song to be appreciated and liked by this current generation. Congrats to Sofronio and good luck to your next performance. 👍💯💖🎤🔥🔥🔥
I was a little boy, when I came down the steps in the middle of the night to get a drink and saw my father and mother dancing to this song. I stopped when I got to the bottom and watched. I can never remember being any happier as a little boy, when I went to bed. I have never heard this song, after that night without thinking of how my father was looking at my mother. they both loved Roy. 😎

A man with a single instrument and a lot of talent who touched many hearts with only a guitar, and good voice. Roy orbison's music should live on forever.
Roy Orbison makes my hair stand on end. Literally. Only Maria Callas and Diana Damrath (singing opera) are so consistently amazing. Also Freddie Mercury -- especially when he sings with Montserrat Caballé.
There was not one person in that audience who could possibly fathom that millions of people would be watching this video of this song on a phone 50 years later

Wow .. People forget that this is a 1960's song that's only been preformed /covered by a few in recent memory and for Sofronio to deliver it abbreviated version with such mastery is beyond incredible... Bravo to you Sir... 👍
Im here because of The Voice USA 2024. On of my fellow Filipino sang this song. Goodluck Sofronio, hope you win The Voice USA 2024.❤🎉 Rooting for you!!❤
I am an African American woman in her early forties from the urban area of Detroit Michigan and I can attest that music is universal and timeless because I absolutely love this song and my hats off to you the great Roy Orbison. It probably doesn't hurt that my mom a hillbilly from the hills of Arkansas played this type of music in our house all the time 🎵❤️
I went to a Roy Orbison Concert in 1964, and only a couple hundred people were there. There he stood, on stage, black suit, skinny, in horned rim glasses and the sound system was not that great. But when Roy Orbison opened his mouth a bad sould system didn't matter. He stood there and sang hit after hit, including "Crying", nothing moving except his lips and fingers on the guitar. It was a fantastic performance, by the best. It's a wonderful memory. I'll never forget the concert I attended and saw and heard live the great Roy Orbsison when his voice was at its peak. Elvis Presley's favorite singer.
I've read that he was surprised by his success. When he did the "Black and White Night" album, all the other musicians (who were ALL very talented in their own right) would say "Oh, wow! That's Roy Orbison". He was deeply humbled. Dwight Yoakum (sp?) once said Roy's voice sounded like an "angel falling backward through a broken window". He's a fellow Texan, so I like him as a matter of pride.

One of the best sad love songs ever written sung by the Master of the Ethereal - the Great Roy Orbison. It doesn't get much better than this, and the backup band was on point.
And now Roy, I / we cry over you. And as much as anyone tries, there's No Other, and Ya made it look so easy, and your clear voice, is like Music Magic. !!
How he changes his voice tone in the middle of the word must a gift from the elder gods. It’s practically impossible. He showed such great respect and love to the gods with his voice.
Last night while flipping through TV channels I came across a Roy Orbison documentary on my local PBS station which brought back memories. Back in the summer of 1988 myself and a friend went to Great Woods in MA (which is now the Xfinity Center) to see The Beach Boys. Roy Orbison was the opening act. I knew of his music and amazing voice but seeing him perform live in person was just amazing! I’m grateful to have seen him perform live because in December of that year he passed away at the young age of 52 from a heart attack 😢😢. I remember reading the sad news of his passing and still have the Rolling Stone magazine edition with him on the cover after his death. One thing that struck me while watching his documentary was an interview with his wife Barbara, she was asked how Roy would like to be remembered. She said “Roy would say I just want to be remembered “. I will remember you Mr. Orbison, thank you for the memory. RIP sir. This is my favorite song by Roy. The Black and White concert must have been incredible to see in person with all these amazing musicians. Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Brown, Bonnie Rait, kd Lang, Tom Waits, T-Bone Burnett, JD Souther, Jennifer Warnes and of course Roy himself.
Roy Orbison ~ man with the voice of an angel. No other singer could touch my heart with his voice, songs like he did even today. Love you and miss you Roy Orbison ❤️ 😔

Pas beaucoup de chanteur peuvent se vanter de pouvoir avoir de telle changement dans son intonation. J ai toujours adoré Roy et je trouve qu' on ne l entend pas assez au radio.
Roy left us at 52, Elvis at 42.
“Nothing gold can stay.” -Robert Frost
One of the best sad love songs ever written sung by the Master of the Ethereal - the Great Roy Orbison. It doesn't get much better than this, and the backup band was on point.
And now Roy, I / we cry over you.
And as much as anyone tries, there's No Other, and Ya made it look so easy, and your clear voice, is like Music Magic. !!
My goodness what a voice ! There can never be another one like it. More talent than can be put into words. Thanks Roy.
Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Brown, Bonnie Rait, kd Lang, Tom Waits, T-Bone Burnett, JD Souther, Jennifer Warnes and of course Roy himself.
wat en wonderlijke stem !!the voice of the universe !!!
Roy Orbison ~ man with the voice of an angel. No other singer could touch my heart with his voice, songs like he did even today.
Love you and miss you Roy Orbison ❤️ 😔
The man is un matched. And no one will ever match his Talent.
Music from the 60's are just so pure and timeless. It's like good red wine as the years tick away it only gets better. The people who were in their youth during the 60's and listened to this day were just so blessed.I am say all this because I am 38 years of age.
Long Live Roy Orbison, one of the Greatest singing voices of All Time. I love this song, you can’t help but feel his deep emotions coming through. Thank You, Roy Orbison for sharing your God giving talent to the world. 🙏
